    This was very helpful! I used to take martial arts during my teen years and I placed 1st in the nunchuck competition. It felt awesome but it's been over 30 years! I just received my nunchucks and your guidance was perfect! It is never too late to pick up an old skill. I decided, WHY NOT! Becoming the best version of myself taking tiny steps and trying new scary things. Thank you!!!

    Very cool video and well explained techniques. I recently signed my future step daughter up for Kung Fu class and then decided to join myself at age 37. I've been going for about a month now and I'm consumed by it. Obviously I'm a long ways off from weapons training, but wanted to do some research. I've always been intrigued by nunchucks, mostly because of TMNT. I'm going to come back to this video series when I'm ready. Thank you Matt!

    @BenjaminGrim - For any self defence, forget nunchucks. And if you want to use tools (exception being gun or a short knife), and from a pure self defence, to be efficient quickly > make her learn (and yourself too) self defence using something like a kubaton/kubotan. Nunchucks? Good fun. But none of that is gonna fly in any real life scenario, as some people out there are brutal, are fighting on drugs, and they don't care how much they will hurt you or even if they will kill you (based on my own long term experience).

    I worked everyday at this since Mid May. I did well and was really liking it except I was growing a fear of getting hit in the elbow. Last night I got hit in the elbow again and the wrist and realized I am just to damn old to incur any more pain points in my body. I am dropping it and my nunchucks are gone. I felt working at it helped with upper body stiffness and joint pain. But those whacks are more than I am willing to pay at 70. Thankyou for the good service and being a part of the videos I have watched.

  • @davidkelly2776
    @davidkelly27762 жыл бұрын

    Thank you for your demonstration very educational, the 8 was very helpful when finding the centre of gravity, it has to and starts from the heart, fluid motion didnt even think it comes natural the way you are showing how it works, with every action there is a reaction, positive or negative and the 8 being the core hurts or can learn to reflect that pain to deal with it, not to hurt but to release tension

It´s on point, motivating, well structured and organized, packed full of knowledge and will be effective, for anybody who´s intrested to get in, or improve their nunchuck skills. I´m absolutely sure about that. We´re blessed for getting that for free. you got me, pushin the abo- button at that point, where you admitted, that age doesn´t matter in case of learning and improving skills.
