Thank you for such a clear and concise video. I also appreciate that there was no music but just a quiet tune when you were sewing. Some people's videos are so loud, I end up not watching them. Again, thanks for taking the time to do this.

Thank you so much for this video. I have been looking for months on-line to see a video about sewing one. I need to make one for a gift for someone. The only difference is, I will put handles on the one I make. Again, thank you for your clear instructions. You made it look so easy to make.

Can I add insulation? Would it be the same size as the exterior panels?

  • @debbiebeemer4795

I made one using insulbrite and found that because it’s so thick, it wouldn’t allow me to catch the lining, when sewing the corner edge seams, so the lining floated freely inside, just sewn in around the top. Which ends up being ok I think. You can pull the lining out and spot clean it instead of having to wash the whole bag. Today I’m going to try using ripstop nylon as the lining (with the insulbrite too) so the bag is insulated AND waterproof. But I imagine it’ll be the same scenario, which will be fine. The insulbrite is pretty bulky, and I also quilted it to the outside fabric, which is adding an extra step. I like the insulbrite because it’s a good insulator, but in this case, I’m on the fence over its effectiveness, ie it may be overkill. A layer of low loft batting may be good enough. Hmmm maybe I’ll try that instead.
