I have been doing this for at least 15 years in my work. THE BEST IN THE HANDS TRIUMPH EVER!!! Its actually one of my top go to card effects. Big thanks Jay for this gem.

Man, this has also been one of my go-to tricks in the last 15 years too! Simple, high impact, great plot, impromptu and multiple moments of magic. Pro-tip if you're feeling especially sneaky: do a top change at the end and then say, "Have you ever watched 'Back to the Future'?" and reveal the card again. It might be anti-climatic, but for those spectators who are familiar with the DL and talk about how they know the tricks is done, watch them turn over the card and be fried! B)

I do a trick extremely similarly to this one, but it's not got the time travel element. This version and presentation makes mine look so dry, I think I'll have to adapt it, thanks Jay. It just proves how it's not the trick, but the magician and their presentation of a trick.

I just tried this but I didn't have a deck of cards on me so I grabbed my grandson's Pokemon cards and it worked great! Something about the weight of the Pokemon cards made the double lift a breeze!

Over 15 years later, and 'Back in Time' is still one of my favorite card tricks to perform. The simplicity and structure are beautiful, and prove that powerful magic can be created without the need of complicated gimmicks or techniques. You created a classic in this routine Jay. Thank you for your contribution to our craft.

Three things I like about this trick: 1) It's impromptu. 2) It's a free choice with a shuffled deck. 3) It's sexy visual. I've seen a similar trick performed using the "poker shuffle" (sometimes called a "drunken shuffle") to force the four aces, a royal flush, etc, but I love the story about time travel. That photo image is such a stronger effect than seemingly shuffling the cards like an inebriated orangutan and coming up with a good poker hand. Thanks, Jay! Top notch as always.

This is really the best in the hands triumph there is. I have heard some super hard core card magicians who can do about anything with a deck of cards, say the slop shuffle is more deceptive to lay audiences than other kinds of shuffles. The sloppiness of the deck just makes it seem like there is no way you can be controlling the cards. I would only add that it is too bad you gave this one away for free. It is a real worker. But thanks for your generosity Jay.

I can't believe you gave this trick away for free Jay! This has been my go to card trick for about 7-8 years and I love it dearly. Gets absolutely great reactions and you can go straight into ambitious or whatever. Like so much of Sankeys stuff it has a proper plot that genuinely hooks your audiences. Learn this well! Great to see it's even been refined a bit from the version I learned all those years ago.

I remember a trick you did a few years ago that was similar where the deck goes back in time to when it was in factory order. That one was a little more visually appealing, but it was harder to do. So i like this one more perhaps because it's simple, very similar, but also interactive :)

Its almost like a Triumph Routine, only so much more simple. I don't know if you ever saw Frank Garcia's version of triumph, but he does a wonderful little way of folding the two halfs together and just letting them fall to the table, I always loved that way of reversing the pack, its right infront of you, but so many people miss it. Great work with this, really fun trick for any magician to learn.
