Learning Japanese has opened my eyes to English-borrowed words, English is my second language but I don't actually like English it's so inconsistent and well this is personal but I got bored of learning English because I can speak the language already so I'm jumping outta the boat to learn to swim again, But the difference is that I have experience learning a language so all the mistakes I made in the mistakes I'll just avoid them now The word tsunami is borrowed in Spanish too wow this is really surprising

To anyone who thinks learning hiragana like this is pointless....you aren't right. Honestly, these relations in the brain help to start. Once you practice reading long enough you don't need to worry anymore but before that fluence is acheived, such mnemonics really help.
