After having summarized data around upsides and downsides about this dilemma, I decided to quit, at least, while I can. Then, having done an astronomical amount of work, he strove to make the first attempt of negotiating for a raise for himself. Having accomplished her project in advance, she came up with another ideas for a new one.

Hi Tiago, I'd like to share a grammar doubt with you: in the footage, at the minute 14'40" wouldn't have been more correct saying: "I knew that if I had sold it..." and again "I would've become very bitter for..." ? Thanks for your gorgeous work!! Love you all, guys!!
@LearnEnglishWithTVSeries
3 ай бұрын
That's an interesting question! We'll ask our coach Thiago to look into it. But let me try to explain it here. I knew if I sold - it refers to the past and imagine that at that time he was contemplating - to sell or not to sell, so it was a possibility, that would be represented by the first conditional, so now, when he's talking about the past, he just changes it it to Past Simple - I know if I see = I knew if I sold. And the same is true for the 2nd example. Thank you for learning with us!
thanks kind regards from Bulgaria (Europe)

Hi Thiago and everyone, 😀 Present participle clause can express: an action happening at the same time as the action in the main clause: Opening the envelope, I found two concert tickets.
I would like to know the exact meaning of sold out because i think , it might be interpret in varying ways.
Bobby didn't buy any cake for his litter sister, but she was happy enough to get a red-pocket from him. Having said that, Bobby was also complimented by most of his relatives in his family party and said he is a good brother.

The actor said " if I sold it even for 500,000$ , I would become very bitter for having sold out " Why did he use the 2nd conditional not the 3rd conditional ?

Sly is huge ❤ He's one of my favourite actors since I'd watched my first movie he starred in (it was in 1992 and the movie was 'Over The Top'). And at that time people usually were divided into two rival groups those who liked Stallone and those who loved Schwarzenegger 😂 For me Arnold was better than Sly 😂
