  • @BusinessEnglishwithGrant

Hi, and thank you for a great question. I have coached business executives for years helping them become confident communicating. A very big part of building confidence is Deeply Learning vocabulary. When you have a really good understanding of more vocabulary, then you are confident to use it in your speaking. So, yes, I encourage you to use all of your vocabulary when you are speaking. It really depends on who you are talking to . Sometimes we need to use more simple vocabulary so the person can understand us. Sometimes we can use more complex vocabulary. The real message is that your confidence will go up SO much when you are comfortable with all of these words and their pronunciations. Have fun!

When a person is acting defensive, they're trying to protect or justify themselves. People who are insecure or guilty tend to act defensive. Pat is a defensive teacher that uses very big words, but Pat is a little lost. You see, this is a channel that was created to help business professional become confident in English. This is not a channel for defensive teachers that use big words. So, everyone please say hi to Pat and let Pat know that everything will be ok. Have a nice day, Pat.
