Learn English as I Give a Tour of Our Flower Farm!

Each year around this time I like to create an English lesson about flowers and plants. I like to make this lesson because I live on a flower farm. Jen and I have been growing flowers for many years, and it is fun to combine my farming job with my English teaching on KZread.
🌻🌼💐 Jen has a KZread channel too! Come and see: / @myflowerfarm
In this lesson I will give you a tour of the farm and I will teach you some English words and phrases about plants and flowers. You'll learn words like pruners and germinate, and you'll learn English phrases like, "harvest the flowers" and "transplanting the flowers".
I hope you enjoy this tour of the farm and I hope that you are able to learn a little bit of English along the way!
Have a great day!
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

Dripline is really amazing. It waters very slowly and almost 100% of the water goes to the plant. Overhead watering is quite wasteful, especially if it is really windy and sunny as a lot of the water can simply evaporate. We can't always drip irrigate, but I would say almost 80% of the time we drip. If we can't for some reason we use the sprinklers. 🌼🌻🌷

I love your flowers and the bouquets are so beautiful! Next year, I will try to plant some lisanthus and zinnias in my backyard garden. Plus, Jen must spend a lot of time and energy taking care of the farm.

Wow, it was an amazing lesson!! Cool farm! Beautiful flowers!! LOVEEEEEE them! But I hardly know any of them in Russian (I know only sunflowers). So, it was really interesting to see them. And one of the good things I've learnt from here is "dripline". I didn't expect there's a word for this thing in English. Thank you for the lesson, Mr. Bob!

Dripline is the best way to water flowers. Almost 100% of the water goes in the soil instead of blowing away in the wind or getting evaporated by sunlight. 🌼🌻🌷
