This is the accent that's always been my point of reference even though (I'm about to be repetitive, I know 🙄) the true 'T' are irreplaceable for me and the 'A' of the Northerners suits me better 😊 In addition, thanks to you all, brilliant teachers, I fell in love with connected speech which I find essential to speak fluently. Thanks a lot for your consistent help Tom, as always 👋🤗

Most actors I believe, think of the Conservative RP when it comes to taking on roles, mostly because in the old days of Hollywood that was mostly what we were exposed to here in the U.S. . These days (If you're really good) you could imitate a perfect British RP accent and still be told "stick to regional theatre (less exposure)" or "can you at least do a Mid-Atlantic accent?". Meanwhile I don't hear anyone coming down on Colin Firth for his poor Texas accent.
