    They’re sound waves, it’s a hypnotising sound~ many people use this sort of sound to fall asleep too if you suffer from insomnia or such. I’ve listened to this sort before as well~ The idea would be to place your phone/tablet at the end of your bed and play this sort of sound, not too loud or too quiet though.

    A great effort went into making this. However,why aren't traditional characters used instead of simplified? Look at your first sentence. The character for love traditional had "heart' in it. Replaced by "friend?" Moreover, with traditional characters you can visually trace back their etymology development over thousands of years uniting the culture and language of China vertically in time. But perhaps the oversimplified hanzi are meant to break with the past? I am not Chinese but this is even obvious to me.

  • @LuckyXinRu

    @LuckyXinRu

    5 ай бұрын

    There's a dispute... Traditionalists suggest they removed heart from love because they had no heart. Modernists suggest traditionalists complain about this because they have no friends. The point is, traditional hanzi is dying, have less and less enthusiasts as most people learning chinese do it to join chinese companies, market etc so they are willing to learn what's current in China not in Taiwan. As for the reason about the simplification, well.. They needed to improve the educational rates. I like the traditional hanzi too, they are beautiful, but it's pointless if just a parcel of the population is capable of learning it. Before being beautiful, romantic, entretaining a language must be practical and useful, they still use traditional for art forms like paintings and brushes. Taiwanese young people are facing the same problem now, since most of the communication is digital they are using the BPMF system more than ideograms so they are not learning them. Just like Japan, instead of using the ideograms(which are similar to the traditional hanzi) the young people are using more the Kitanaga or the Hiragana so they are not learning the ideograms either. Mainland China is ahead of this, as they use the simplified that are a lot more easier to learn and the Pynyi also provides a good grounding for them to learn western languages, Taiwan and Japan have a big difficult learning our ABCD so even if you write a word in mandarin using ABCD like "Hanzi" "Kuaizi" "Zao Shang Hao" they struggle to read it, unlike the Chinese.
