Learn Brioche Two Color Flat

Directions:
In two color brioche, the fabric is fully reversible with a "dominant" color on each side. We'll be referring to the two color as the "light color" or "dark color" in this tutorial but your pattern may also call them C1 and C2 or color A and color B.
In two color flat brioche, knit across the row with one color then start back at the beginning and knit across the same row with the second color. Then, turn the project and work the row with the first followed by the second color again.
Starting with the light color, slip the first stitch with the yarn in back. To Purl, bring the yarn to the front, slip the dark stitch and bring the light yarn over it to the back side, making a yarn over. Knit the next light stitch together with the dark stitch next to it, (called a Brioche Knit (BRK)). Bring the yarn to the front, slip the next dark stitch, bring the yarn to the back making a yarn over and then knit the next light and dark stitches together. Approaching the end of the row, knit two together, bring yarn to the front, slip the next purl, bring the yarn to the back and knit the final stitch.
Row 2, slide the stitches to the other side of your circular needles. Starting with the dark yarn, slip the first stitch with the yarn in front. Purl the next light and dark stitches together (called a Brioche Purl). With yarn in front then slip the next light colored stitch. Move the yarn over the needle to the back before purling the next light and dark stitch pair together. Work to the last stitch in the row, slip it, leaving the yarn in the front.
Row 3, with the light yarn and slip the first two stitches with the yarn in front. Move the yarn to the back before Brioche Purling the next light and dark pair of stitches together. With yarn in front, slip the next dark stitch, yarn over, Brioche Purl the next two stitches together. With yarn in front, slip the next dark stitch, yarn over, Brioche Purl the next two stitches together. Work in the pattern to the last stitch which is just a simple purl stitch.
Row 4, with the dark yarn slide the stitches back to the opposite end of the circular needles so the dark yarn is at the beginning. Slip the first stitch with the yarn in back. Knit the next dark and light stitch pair together. Bring the yarn to the front, slip, move the yarn to the back, knit the next two stitches together. Work to the end of the row.

This video frustrated me too! TO START BRIOCHE: You CAST ON with your usual method. For BRIOCHE: You ALWAYS need to CAST ON an ODD number of stitches so your piece is symmetrical After this ROW, TURN YOUR WORK. . FIRST ROW AFTER CAST ON IS THE FOUNDATION ROW: BASICALLY THIS ROW is a row of KNIT THAT CREATES THE CROSSOVER THAT BECOMES THE BRIOCHE STITCH, .USING YOUR MAIN COLOR YARN. This will give you a bottom edge and side edges of your main color. FOUNDATION ROW STEPS: WITH MAIN COLOR, KNIT the FIRST STITCH, YARN OVER; SLIP NEXT STITCH PURLWISE. KNIT NEXT STITCH, YARN OVER; ALWAYS YO AFTER YOUR KNIT STITCH. (YOU'LL SEE THIS FORMS THE CROSSOVER/BRIOCHE STITCH WITH EACH KNIT STITCH); SLIP THE NEXT STITCH PURLWISE. (THIS FOUNDATION ROW forms a row of KNIT stitches across the bottom of your work in your MAIN COLOR. You'll be working the main color along the edges of your piece as in the video) When you complete the FOUNDATION ROW, SLIDE YOUR STITCHES CAREFULLY TO THE OTHER NEEDLE.. (WHEN THE TWO YARN COLORS ARE TOGETHER, TURN YOUR WORK to do the next ROW. BY WORKING the edge stitches with your MAIN COLOR, it forms the side edge that matches the bottom edge. One "ROW" is worked in BRIOCHE KNIT WITH MAIN & then BRK with the CONTRAST COLOR. THE NEXT "ROW" IS worked in BRIOCHE PURL with the MC then BRP with the CC. SEE? EASY!! ENJOY

@@aivan7058 Hi. Perhaps the comment I added will help you.... I added instructions. BRIOCHE IS all about RYTHYM. Once you get your rhythm you'll sail through the basic BRIOCHE piece. When you begin making designs with BRIOCHE there are additional instructions in the pattern. Don't let BRIOCHE intimidate you!

Could you of showed the cast on? And in continental as well!
You don't show how to start off, how to do the set up row
It'd be so nice is some youtuber would show how to do this from the cast on. Maybe that's why people have such a hard time with it. No one shows the beginning. So basic.

Unhelpful. I need to know how to start
This video would be much more helpful if you would start from the cast on…..please consider doing this! Otherwise it is of little use.
That was way too fast and way too confusing, when teaching something is not at all helpful to speed right through it!
