This is very helpful.... I started a few days back... I think it's a good idea that there isn't any romanji... I feel that it slows progress when learning... Just my opinion tho

I agree if you’re learning hiragana you should simultaneously be learning the pronunciation and spelling in romajī as you go forward with each one.

@ApexTrueno However, I cannot seem to grasp the Harigana too well. I tend to confuse other characters such as ほ、を、お when using it on a sentence.

Well the first is pronounced Ho, the second is pronounced Wo or O but is used as an object marking particle in a sentence, and the last is just the vowel O.

A good example they gave is to say (I) ate an apple, or Ringo o(wo) tabemashita, where in hiragana you can see that even when pronounced as O you can see the character is clearly wo

O as a vowel can be seen used more prominently as just the letter/ vowel in words like Memory which is pronounced Kioku and the hiragana for the vowel stands in the middle of Ki and ku

That system is used for writing any regular Japanese words, such as some compound words as well as the names of the Japanese people, places, companies, studios, agencies, and organizations. Every hiragana character has a certain sound but does not have a meaning of its own.
