    All Koreans use those 50 words in daily life. Those words are not book words!! If you are learning Korean and want to improve your Korean language skills, this video seems really helpful!! Also, I love that pink background!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

    What do you mean with your expression these words are not “book words”? I have found them even in the dictionary ( 엣 센 수 한영사전/Minjung’s Essence Korean-English Dictionary)

    @@monicastorbeck2238 I said those words are not BOOK WORDS!! It means Koreans actually use them in daily life!! So those words are practicle and different from some Korean words that are just written on a korean learning book and anyone in Korean does not use them!!! I hope I make myself clear!!!

I've never heard nor read the terminology "book words", that's why I was asking, because it's really confusing. What I like at TTMIK is, they keep it simple and fun.

    There's one with 30 essential verbs, by the time I finished writing them down, I understood the basic construction of tenses.

    Similar story, i have been watching kdramas and kvariety shows since 2019 so approx 3 years and i was able to say 40 out of 50 words before the person in the video did lol

    There’s this thing called TEUIDA you learn Korean from it and you learn like one thing per day and then it gives you a video that you can like speak in so it’s just a little conversation. It also has you speaking. I’ve always had the same problem like I wanted to learn Korean but I didn’t want a hobby to be academic but this has been really fun

    I’ve been learning/in-actively teaching myself Korean since Summer of 20 and I can honestly say I am SO proud of myself. I knew majority of these words and recognized the ones I didn’t know… This definitely helped me realize I know more than I think I do and that makes me more confident to go speak or even listen to Korean without subtitles!!!     I am actually so excited right now because I know all these words although my brain was loading for a few of them and I wasn't able to say the words before 예지 선생님 actually read them 😄 now to practice some more in order to better familiarize my brain with the words and make them more "automatically" recognizable if that makes sense 😃 이 동영상을 만들어서 정말 감사합니다! 🥰 PS: Still a beginner here and I am not sure if my Korean sentence was properly formed or spelled correctly 😁

    This was a very good and easy lesson but I would recommend you to learn Hangul before learning words and phrases (basically any vocabulary) so that you can recognise the letters and their sounds and that way you can learn vocabulary very quickly 👍

    Listened to this on repeat while sping dishes today, and I realized just listening and paying attention to the spelling helped me differentiate between the vowel sounds which I had been struggling with before. So not only did I learn some new words, I feel like I have a better understanding of pronunciation as well. Thanks so much!

    The words for older brother/older sister depend on who is speaking: males say 형/누나, and females say 오빠/언니 Also, when they showed 'news' and I was like 소식! Then they said 뉴스 -_- LOL Korean is becoming so anglicized

    Actually 소식 and 뉴스 are different, 소식 is about your friends, family or maybe things going around you when 뉴스 is on tv or newspaper : )

    What is this music? Feels like I'm on a Sherlock Holmes adventure haha Also, this video made me realize a weakness in my skills. I knew 100% of these words already BUT because I always study vocab Korean -> English, when seeing the English word first here I had more difficulty recalling the Korean word than I would the other way around. Practice Vocab from both directions people!

    As you know, many nations in Asia such as China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam etc shared Chinese characters. There are a lot of korean words originated from chinese character. Tea is 茶, Car is 車 in chinese and their pronunciations are coincidentally same, 차, in korean. You can distinguish both words in the conversations or sentences.
