Hi Chris, this is only the second video of yours I've watched, (the first being 'Is there anybody out there' after which I immediately subscribed) but as feed back, In 'Is there anybody....' u included a chord box in the top right corner, which I found really helpful (looking at your fingers it's very difficult to see if a finger, ie the pinky, is pressing down on a string or not!) so was wondering how much more of a hassle it is to include the chord box again? forgive me if you've already addressed this. It won't make any difference (I'll still stay as a sub 😁) just thought I'd mention it in the hope that other's, like me, found it really helpful as a "visual learner" Anyhoo, love your style of teaching and look forward to catching up with your back catalogue👍👍

Use the settings wheel on the video to reduce speed to 0.75, 0.5 or even 0.25. That's what most of us do.

That isn't really Travis picking. Travis just used the thumb and index.

travis picking doesn't mean picking exactly like merle travis. its a playing style that is defined by keeping a beat with base notes using your thumb, and at the same time using your other fingers (most commonly index and/or middle fingers. sometimes even ring) to play treble notes in a syncopated rhythm. its a style that existed long before merle travis was born; he didn't invent nor define it. its just the colloquial name for the technique because he used it a lot.
