I got more then 10 Crashes in 1 game. 3 times I got kicked out and every time I tried to get back I would get 3 or more crashes just to get back in game.

Not a crash but it did went to the desktop and I right clicked something, good thing I wasn't able to left click anything like Delete. I've played League for years and I dun use any buttons near windows button, and it's somehow coincidental with the new now x64-bit-only update. I didnt complain about it cause people might think I'm crazy and I just accidentally pressed it. I just hope they use the x64 architecture in a gameful meaningful way, like not just use it to make battlepasses and skin showcases look fancier.

For those who have a problem with starting the game after changing the League settings to "Run as administrator", you also need to change this value in the properties of the Riot launcher

thanks bro, i did it here and it worked. You have to run the client as administrator for it to work.

RITO pushing for the move of their game away from 32bit but instead of going forward, it threw everyone back to 8bit.

i was literally dealing with this issue for about a month, in January and had no idea how to fix it, i wish this vid came out then when it first started happening to me cuz ngl i did pretty much everything to fix it and only this worked with this. I am glad to see you spreading the good news though cuz i had to go down a large rabbit hole just to figure out that much about this bug

Leaving this here in case it helps someone. Making that .exe run as administrator caused the league client to not be able to launch the game and it got stuck at a permanent "reconnect" button. Probably because the client was not run as administrator. So make sure either you run both as administrator or none.

I reverted those changes midgame and realized that the game has not started yet. This "fix" without running both as administrator or none made it not only causing the game not to start for me but also for all other players in the game, they were stuck in loading screen for 5 minutes until I reverted the changes...

same, i was thinking "can't believe my laptop is old enough that it cannot run League properly"

ive noticed this a lot as well on league specifically. when you are noticing frame issues. Open task manager, click CPU % to show the top. If you see nvidia container end that task and youll get your frames back. Ive noticed that a lot last 2 weeks on my end. apparently its either a driver for nvidia or windows messing it up.

I’ve also experienced a lot of stuttering and frame drops despite having a beast of a pc and usually 300/350 fps on max settings. What fixed this issue for me was capping the fps rate to my monitors refreshrate und enabling vsync. Aswell as reinstalling league however I don’t know if the reinstalling had anything to do with the fix because I tried that first and I had still the same fps drops.

I've been having crashing and frame issues as well for a long time. I don't have an insanely good PC but I'd hope a 1660 and an i7-9700 would be good enough to run League at higher than 30 FPS on low settings. Can't remember what I did to alleviate it but it seems less prevalent now. This game is just so poorly optimized it's not even funny.

i found out that if i just change vsync when i join every game, fps fixes (on good pc ofc), so if its on i just turn it off and its ok and the other way around. Hope this helps to anyone

Yep, if I don't enable V-sync, the characters literally do a 180 stutter while turning, or stuttering constantly when performing a dash.

sometimes I have experience frame issues I think it might be the game having a stroke when it launches I know of 3 on-occurrence fixes to try 1. Alt-Tab 2. Alt-Enter (this is fullscreen hotkey) 3. change your game's resolution down then back up to the previous setting hope these help, if not sorr

What actually works for me (I always had the crashes at worst fucking times, thatwere big tilters) - I just restart the client after every game. I realized the first game would always work fine, so I finished game, closed client. Waited a hot minute, open again and it works so far.

You can just enter on the task manager and force stop the client, it will restart again instantly, or just log out and in again so you wait like 10 seconds instead

same thing happened after last update. riot support do not answer. they brooke the game again with their 200 years of experience.

For me happened right before fights. every time i reconnect im dead

This just happened to me and made me lose the ranked game. It's incredible that there's no official response from riot for such a big problem.

I‘ve been getting random lagspikes. I know for certain that it’s league related bc I don’t get any issues playing anything else. It also caused some soft lock crashes and one hard crash. It’s been pretty unplayable for me.

same. My fps drops by over half for about a second randomly causing my game to skip or freeze briefly (maybe for half a second) I’ll be playing with 165 fps, then for one half second it drops to like 80 and the game skips and freezes briefly. Only after the patch. All over games are fine.

Can confirm in EUW getting this issue too. Both my wife and I as well as my friends all getting crashes this patch. The fix you talk about seemed to work for me but not for my wife as you mentioned. Hopefully Riot will fix it quickly.

I had this problem on euw aswell. What worked for me was just reinstalling

happening to my mate on OCE servers at least 10 times a game. The fix that is being posted is a wet band-aid patch that's been around for years.

I dont have crashes but massive freezes randomly throughout a game, like up to 10 seconds and then it just returns to normal

This has been happening to me occasionally. I am on SEA server its really annoying especially during teamfight crashes.

I was about to submit a ticket on this. Got about 2 every game in OCE. But at least now there are some fix.

Windos+tab, then set your game on an other desk screen (this should make the game go away but not close), and then you can use the task manager to close it. This work for any game that crash like this.

weird how it only started happening for some people this patch but it's been happening to me for at least the last 3 patches

there is also issue with minion blocking that they dont even adress, as zac main i notice that shi instantly

@Ryscu Another way to fix it is disabling every single overlay that works over league (porofessor, blitz and so on, not sure about discord bu i disabled it for safety). As far as i am aware bug is caused by riot changing League to be 64-bit only. I bet it's caused by change in game engine RAM management so disabling everything that might interfere with it is good idea.

Thank God for this. League crashing and trying a solution just leads you to pages that basically list that it could be anything and everything. Had to contact Riot Support twice, sent Hextech Reports and everything and at most they could tell me was make sure drivers were up to date.

I was playing with my friends and in a 2v2 game everyone crashed at least once, while in a unfortunate 3v2 game entirety of 3 person team crashed. It was interesting

Im on EUW and it happened 5+ times since the patch. First only in TFT then on Co-op but yesterday 2 times in ranked. Really annoyed by now :( ty for the tips ♥

there also being a massive latency since the last update. My abilities are so delay and sometimes dont even go off

I have the Problem too. EUWest I will try the close client during games... all the other things I have already done without effect.

I was one of the 00.1% of the players who was playing at a 32 bits. It's sad not to play league for 4 days, but i think my communication skills are getting better, and i think this was the best decision Riot did for me🤣🤣🤣

in this new patch, the triangle bush on top lane became transparent on my league. I cant see if anyone inside of it anyway. just there isnt green brush.

My friend kept getting these crashes so much he said he's quitting until the next patch. I didin't have any problem but his game kept crashing every 5 minutes, it was unplayable. Thanks for the video, hope he can fix it, I can't stand solo queue.

i have a current issue where some of the bushes in the map are gone, its still possible for players to be hidden in them but i cannot see the grassy part of the bush its just a dark spot of the ground for me now where the bush would be.

Brazilian player here. Me and a friend got this crash here as well, with my friend getting multiple times in the same match.

I didnt even bother trying that first one as many ppl said it didnt have work. Closing other programs did however solve it

Not only that bug but there is also the social part bug where your friend list get frozen u can't open dms or close one that are already are open and that happen u can't see what they send u or u wont be able to connect to chat in champ select its weird but am having on my pc on 64bit every time now since last update i can even go on call with u on discord and show it to you and prove it it just sucks to have this many buggs at this might just bring us the 2009 client more worth it

I was playing on eu west server yesterday. And i crashed 6 times. Sometimes my game got really unresponsive but of course 4 times were the crushes you mentioned in this video

Euw here and it happened to me too. But only at the start of a game. Since it takes me 5 seconds to reload not a big deal to me but I would have cried on my first laptop

I just did windows & graphics driver update and turned off anti-virus software which pretty much helped me

I've lost so much LP from these crashes it's so annoying, I hope this works, and thank god it wasn't just me

I had the same problem and I fixed it by using the reinstall feature in Hextech repair tool and by updating my video card drivers

EUW here, it happened 3 times in 2 days, I just clicked reconnect after it crashes and it worked

so its not just me... i get this almost every loading game and even during games, i hope it fix it

This thing existed here for far long than just from recent patch.. i've been playing in fullscreen (borderless) window for whole time (so i can alt tab whenever).. whenever the champ pick client was finished and game launched LoL game i just let everything to happen till loading percentage starts to appear. Whenever i clicked too fast anywhere or alt tabed right away, the same critical error pop up and it would close the game and wouldnt let me reconnect back which was result in total task kill of entire league client, launching, logging again and reconnecting this way.

I tried all these methods and nothing worked. It wasn't until I changed the windows priority back to the default value in task manager (I had mine set to real-time) and I had zero crashes every since. I would crash shortly after loading into a game, no matter what mode. All this other stuff doesn't do anything for me. I used process lasso before to change these values. It's not the drivers, it's not discord or any other program. My only issues was with league and nothing else. Windows priority caused my issues which is now fixed due to changing it back to normal

Im EUW and this bug happens to me a lot. It has actually fixed itself since the last patch.

it started off with just crashes but recently i've had a few BSODs during league games (they are way more annoying to deal with since gotta wait for pc to restart) and i'm pretty sure it's related to league because i never have them when i'm not playing the game, does anyone else have the same issue?

This happened to me and I was so angry. When I logged back into my game, I couldn’t see the other team any more and died in fountain.

I've been having crashes for 3 patches now, finally my report for this crashing did something

I JUST got this problem in a middle of a fuggin game yesterday

This is what happend to me in ARAM and one person on my team told me to "get better internet" despite me saying that the game kept throwing a fatal error and the cache was corrupted. You don't get a fatal crash error if your internet is bad, it'll just disconnect you. Every time the game crashed back to the client an error window poped-up saying "fatal error" and mentioned something about the cache. I originally thought that the update might've corrupted the games cache, so I uninstalled (haven't bothered to reinstall yet). Fatal errors occur when the operating system encounters something... unexpected. My guess is someone "fat-fingered" (for lack of a better term) something into the code that is causing the error; something that is very hard to see when they're debugging (if they even bother to do so). What also might be happening is they forgot to do "garbage collection" and clear temporary data when they are no longer using it or deleted the "garbage collection" by accident, hense the cache error.

I had this on my old computer, just got a new one and haven't seen it yet.

this happened to me and it won't open any instance of the game even practice tool, tried the run as administrator and disable fullscreen optimization and still won't work so i end up re-installing(stopped showing critical error but still won't open any instance) as well as uninstalling porofessor and uncheck the disable optimization for it to finally start working again

League is so ancient, they still use their browser based client that can easily replicated in Visual Basic. They should make a In game client like wild rift.

you can also try to delete the config and the DATA folder and run the launcher again. it fixed those crashes.

I'm from las and yesterday two of my friends crashed twice on ranked

I had this on EUNE and for some reason it happened only on TFT and only once a game. I forced repatch and everything seems fine for now.

Yesterday I experienced that even during a custom game where all I wanted is to try different builds LMAO

OH! What?! I thought it was just my laptop messing up since it never happened before but ever since the latest update I've had troubles with it just crashing randomly thankfully I only play ARAM but it was still infuriating because I got leave buster and was sent to low prio in ARAM(since most of them just surrender instantly the moment someone leaves) and whenever it crashed it was always something about the cache messing up or something I've also experienced random lagspikes that shouldn't have been there since there have been no problems before....

This crash happened 3 times yesterday and I dropped from top 20 on tft because of this crash hope this will be fixed soon

Got the error twice in one game yesterday on EUNE as well. Kinda annoying losing match cuz kicked by error in baron teamfight :/

I had a bug where my champ just basically started autoattacking the enemy and i could not move resulting to me running under tower and dying

I had this problem, but and these didn't trick didn't help me. The problem was fixed after some random update, so I get to play more League. My bug was after champ select and the client crashing (if this was the bug we are currently talking about).

There’s a game where i played where the game crashes and i cant cast any abilities, use summoner spell or even quit the game.

LoL crashing mid fight or reconnecting every 2 mins in the practice tool without any internet issues caused me to get really mad im glad someone found a fix

Crashed two times during loading screen in an Aram and thought "well, that was weird". Started another Aram. Again, crashed two times during loading.

im on oce and it happens to me at least a couple times a day since the patch, sick one riot ya dogs

Damn, thats a bug. And I thought my PC was just slowly starting to die. Only had the problem in Aram, not in normal game

I tried the solution and another strange crash happened: I was waiting to go into a game and suddenly I was stuck in the client unable to join the game no matter how many times I pressed the “reconnect” button and no matter how many times I logged off and in again and again (thankfully my teammates voted to remake)

Same here, when i reverted the changes it stayed the same so idk what's up with this, but even reinstalling didnt help

if you use the game in windowed not fullscreen you wont get the crash anymore, it worked for me

My issue atm is that sometimes after I finish a game (be it a normal or ranked), when i hit play to que up, the timer wont show. It happens even if I join a party after a solo game. If the party owner hits play she sees the timer but I don't. It even happened that the confirm button apeared on her screen but not on mine, the timer ran out and she thought I wasn't intending to play. As a fix I have to leave the party, basically go back to the homepage, then rejoin the party / que up again. I have an AMD processor. Might have something to do with that?

it also severely affected me and i'm on the EUW server

I think I may have fixed it by switching from full screen to borderless windowed, or at least hasn't yet happened since

I have the same error in linux, I'm using litrux, that error came out of nowhere when I wanted to play another, I talked to support, they told me that they already fixed the ING.devops, but nothing continues and I can't do the same as the tutorial, because I don't get the same options help plx

i always have frame drops, have been having them for a while now, and hope that someone can help me with figuring this issue out. i have been looking for months on how to fix it.

Try turning v-sync on and off every game, also cap your fps at your monitor's limit, that should help a little

Had some issues with ranked because of this... I'm just gonna wait for them to fix their shit. Its gonna feel like a long wait since I just hit plat 1 and wanna grind to diamond.

I found netdawgs post while it still had around 20 likes, and all I did was the 3rd step - changed client to close during games and I havent had a crash since...

Ok slightly different for me, but the game simply doesn't start, i pass champ select, and then it just show me the client with reconnect clicking on it load for half a second then back to reconnect.

I almost lost my Masters promo because of these bugs… client crushed on champ select

Damn this happend to me twice on on ranked EUNE i was so mad at my bad pc, i thought that was the problem
