It’s amazing what people say and don’t have a clue what there talking about

LEAF FILTER installed new gutters and gutter guards on my house. After first rain, the inside gutter seams were leaking. After a week of daily phone calls, with no response, I wrote a review..... and surprise.. I get a phone call to schedule the repair. Today was that day. Guess what... NO SHOW and NO PHONE CALL. Be warned, CUSTOMER SERVICE basically does not exist. I should have gone with VALOR.

In all fairness, I should follow up - When Leaf Filter finally showed up to fix the problems..... it has now been 3 years and in all honesty, LEAF FILTER really is as advertised. No problems with ice, or leaves. Again, their customer service is terrible, but once fixed, I have been happy.

Warning:; Leaf Filter personnel ARE NOT GUTTER SPECIALISTS and will screw up your gutter system if you let them. This is from personal experience. They recommended a new section of gutter and/or realignment. They could not provide an adequate plan for replacement, so I opted for an adjustment and they screwed it up. I had to drill holes in my gutter and add downspouts were they could not solve the issue. They did a crappy job putting their cheap caps on my gutter and they resisted heavily when I tried to get them to correct their mistakes and honor their commitments made during the initial in-person consultation! In addition, their story change from the initial estimate when they came out a second time. Do not use this service!!!!!! Seattle area...

All these gutter leaf filters are good in warm climates. In cold climates they freeze up and back ice up under the shingles. keep that in mind.

Had the same experience as many others here. Send out a pushy salespeople start high, nock it down a few times and end with a “it’s only good for today closer. Scam artist in my opinion, the owner who is a Northeast Ohio resident should be ashamed of himself for trying to scam elderly people.

True statement! They are big time scammers and do take advantage of older folks with this crap product.

Leaf Filter is right, your gutters won’t clog but leaves,pine needles and other debris will lay on top. So you will have to clean the top of the leaf filter screen depending on how much nature craps on them. Still cleaning, yes.

Don't purchase Leaffilter gutter protection from LEAFFILTER NORTH because they do and will clog from day one And the warranty only covers the system if you have a clog on top of the filter which is not covered by the warranty period Thanks Roger B

I see it has been 1 yr from my last post so time to update my post to let the public know that LEAFFILTER NORTH is a faulty system from the start i am still waiting for Leaffilter NORTH to give me my money back because they do clog unfortunately the courts are closed at the present time we'll Leaffilter the balls in your court lets see if they reach out to me at all i will keep you all informed thanks Roger Minnesota November 10 2020

A neighbor has this and leaves collect on top of the gutter like a solid sheet of wax paper - causing rain to just roll off. They HATE it.

I work for leaf filter and the seems are loose and not supposed to glue the seems

I taped a 10 foot piece of aluminum downspout and an elbow to my leaf blower and cleaning was never easier. Why pay all that money? My fix cost less than $7

Wow!!! $6800 for gutter guards??? That’s crazy! I mean, if you’re happy, you’re happy. But that is clearly way overpriced. And before anyone tells me that’s what all of them cost, then I’m here to tell you they’re all way overpriced, And you are being very much takin advantage of. I just bought One called rain drop gutter guards for my entire house. These cost $10 for a 3 foot section. Roughly $300. And I thought that was outrageous! I only have about 100 foot of gutter. But I’m doing it myself. If you’re happy, you’re happy. But you just got completely ripped off. $6800? That’s just crazy. That’s about the cost of doing an entire average size roof on a home.. But good video anyway.

They are overpriced to be sure. But part of that cost is the lifetime warranty - they'll come out and clean your gutters if they aren't working properly or they will re-hang your gutters as needed for a lifetime.

Very pricey indeed. We signed up today to get ours done. It was a must as we have 6-7very large trees all with a 20-40 feet from our home. Every year we have AT LEAST a 4 inch build up of in 80% of our gutters. It was needed and it was time.

@@dannywhite4370 what matter is dollar per foot. they start over $40 per foot. we ended up around $16-17 a foot. if u can get in that range it's worth it.

The real question is not what the filters look like after three years but instead: what is the condition of the edges of your wooden roof sheathing underneath the shingles, and metal roofing, and what is the condition of the rafter tails. If those are dry and show no signs of water infiltration or water wicking then it was a good investment, otherwise they were a fail.

@@pmtips4482 That would be great to know! I'd like to stay off the ladders to check our lower gutters frequently. Two long established, and reputable roofers in our area on the Great Lakes, will not install any of these systems due to the local experiences of many homeowners. We experience all 4 seasons. One of the roofers defaults to installing a very open, stiff galvanized or aluminum wire mesh, similar to what you have, on the top of the most inaccessible gutter to keep out large pieces of debris like tree sticks. It has been very effective over a long period of time for about $25 in materials as part of a re-roof.

They are Owens Corning Duration shingles with SureNail technology which will withstand 80 mph winds. Color is brown but idk the specific color but you'll know when you see it. Erie Roofing wanted 40,000 dollars lmao, a large crew worked right up till dark and put down 45 new sheets of osb.....all for the sweet price of 13,500. Thank you for watching!

The leaf filter holes on an asphalt shingle roof are only 50 microns small. A human hair is 70 microns. Nothing will get in your gutter ever and if something small enough did well you’re not gonna have to worry about clogs because it’s less than 50 microns. Also the debris you see on top of the gutter will get blown away with the wind and if it rains it will come off as well.

A Leaffilter guy came out to my house... eventually going from like $16,000 all the way down to just under $3,000 for my 180lf of gutter. That's a $13,000 difference. What crooks! I sent him on his way with a "you must be smoking crack" and bought the metal Amerimax (black) lock-in Gutter Guards (from Amazon) for like $229. A diy job, but well worth not getting taken to the cleaners by this scam company. And they work fine for what I need them to do, keeping out the larger stuff. Just think of how many old folks, like widows, they've ripped off, old ladies who are thinking they are getting a "deal" when the salesman comes down to around $8,000 by "applying coupons" and the "seniors discount". This company should be SHUT DOWN for their unscrupulous shady business practices.

I bought LeafFilter and it was a big mistake. Every year I call leafFilter or a gutter service to clear the clogged surface. The micro filter traps all of the spring oak and maple debris. Terrible

Waste of money. The water flows over the top, We had them out 3 times and they can't fix it. Waste of Money

Buyers remorse. I believe the installation is the reason for the sad results. the Murfreesboro, TN Office didn't care to make corrective adjustments. Would not adjust the gutters per their advertising. Contacted headquarters, no help. Sale it and forget it.

Dont trust leaf filter north!!

**Warning** After personal experience, leaf filter has proven to do more damage than good! This company will not stand behind the promises the greasy sales person will make during their initial consultation!! They said they would replace a portion of my gutter, but then they reneged when they found it was too challenging. So they just screwed their cheap filter over the top of my existing gutter and it took me a full day and hundreds of dollars to fix what they screwed up!!! Then their operations manager totally denied any accountability and washed his hands of my gutter issues they messed up!! DO NOT HIRE THESE THUGS!!!

@@foxact9856 business model advertise the hell out of this product. Pay a salesman 10 percent. Pay the install much of. Nothing while he has to cover the insurance and any helps pay. Make out like a bandit. That dont cost the 3.00 a ft and that's on the high side.

Don't purchase the LEAFFILTER NORTH GUTTER PROTECTION why because they clog and the no clog warranty is only good if the system clogs on the inside of the gutter But with the LEAFFILTER MICRO MESH FILTER. the system will clog on top of the filter Period

Roger, thanks for watching and commenting! In all fairness to LF, they do recommend you to brush the guards once a year. In four years my micro mesh (which is stainless steel) looks brand new. The product itself is a great concept. It is just too expensive. I look for an offshore company to start manufacturing similar product at a fraction of the cost and still be very profitable.

I used to install this crap. I quit because of this. They don’t respect installers or the customers. They just try to get the quick buck. Do yourselves a favor and don’t buy this crap. The larger screen he is talking about is supposed to be used where the valleys are And think about it people it’s vinyl it’s gonna move and the sun is gonna wreck havoc on this stuff.

@@leavethedesk they’re good at first. They set your appointments for you and leave no error on time like traffic or if the job is a lot bigger than the salesman said. They would set an appointment in Raleigh for 9am and set an appointment in Boone for 1 pm. Was impossible to get to it because it is 4 hrs from each. That’s not including the 2 hours to do the job. We were the number 1 installers in NC in 2010. They don’t respect or the customers just a fast buck in their pockets and plus installing only pays $1 a foot for you

I don't see any leaves on your roof. I have lots of trees around my house, and I can tell you that LEAF FILTER is garbage. The leaves and debris sits on top of the screen and the water goes over top the gutter and damages the face board. I know this for a fact. Sorry, but it's garbage.

The only leaves I get are when wind and storms blow them from a tree line laying 30 yards to the west. It's the maple seedlings that cause the most trouble. If I had it to do over I would install the 3 foot long form fitted foam filters that fit right over the down drop. At about 5 bucks each for 8 drops and 40 dollars all in, I would be 7,000 dollars richer. I get older........but not wiser. Thank you for watching and commenting.
