At Mazda, we believe that the best safety feature in the car is the driver, and our safety philosophy is completely centered around supporting the driver, not replacing them. As you know, Mazda prioritizes the way a car drives and aims to provide a great driving experience every time you get behind the wheel. We want the driver to always be (and feel) in control, and so our safety systems are tuned to mostly work in the background, only assisting the driver when needed. This is why our Lane Keep Assist system doesn’t do active lane centering, because we want the driver to be in control. The system only provides enough input to nudge the car back into the lane if the driver is not paying attention, but the force used is easily overcome when the driver retakes control. Similarly, our Traffic Jam Assist feature is only programmed to work at low speeds, to help lower the stress and fatigue that people may experience in a traffic jam, but it is not intended to be a semi-autonomous driving feature.

The wood in the mazda is as real as wood can be

The proven, very reliable, very smooth shifting 6 speed transmission with the low end torque of the engine that doesn't need to hunt for gears is just fine.

@@GCCarsCA I have a 2016 cx-5 2.5 naturally asperated (rated 30 highway) mixed, getting 33 - 35 mpg Depends on how you drive it.

I have just ordered this 2022 Mazda CX 5 in Soul Red Crystal. My second CX 5 and it's been a great car. This guy makes me feel cold walking around in the snow with just a shirt on. Lucky no snow in Oz except in a few mountain ranges.

My wife just got a new Signature in soul red. She loves it. So do I! Tons of cool features, and feels like it has a real luxury feeling inside.

Thanks Travis! Winter just never want's to leave here it seems. And I don't think you can go wrong with either the CX-5 or the CX-50, both seem to be great. I will get to spend some time in the CX-50 next months so I will be comparing them soon!

I was trying to push the Mrs into trading up for a cx-50. She's not having it! We're gonna trade up our 2017awd for a 2022awd turbo. It's her car. I get to drive it often though. Thinking the turbo will give us what we want. We both like to drive!!

Oh that would look great indeed! I probably won't be doing a CX-5 again soon, but maybe there will be the opportunity to test other Mazda's in a similar color combination 🤔

I have a 2022 CX5 Signature Turbo...I have no problem with the 6-speed tranny...crisp yet smooth...I disagree with you on that. I have had 5 CX5s and this is by far the best edition. Love this driving experience.

would rather have the tried and true 6 speed transmission than any cvt transmission

Totally understandable. While modern CVTs are getting pretty good I normally prefer a torque converter automatic myself, but Mazda really needs to upgrade to a newer transmission with more gears.

a six speed also doesnt hunt for gears. let Detroit and Korea play with 10 speed trannys and ill go with the japanese and refining technologies that have proven over time reliable. he also skipped over the bose sub in the trunk, the changing rear deck levels, double paned glass.

Thank you! And technically it's a German accent, but I speak such a weird mix of accents that almost no one is able to pinpoint exactly where I'm from so you're pretty close. Hope I will see you soon in the comment section of another of my videos!

Hey Hudson, thanks for pointing out that error I made. It's not a bad sign, I am so used to "fake wood" trim that I must've just assumed that it's the same in the CX-5 and due to the stress from my finals I failed to to proper research on that topic. Totally my fault and I am glad you caught that. Going forward I will implement additional steps to make sure my content is properly fact checked. Also congratulations on the 2022 Kuro edition! I've loved the grey on red color combination I had in the Mazda3 so I can confidently say that you made the right choice. Enjoy the CX-5!

The biggest problem in cx5 is a transmission especially when is cold jumping through gears ⚙️ 😒

Oh totally, I was quite miserable actually. But I'm already buying new gear and equipment so that next winter won't be as cold!

Dude - wear a coat when it snows hard outside. Your mother will not be happy when she see this. Also, you are too nitpicky. This vehicle sells well worldwide. For all the things you complained about, you have to buy a much more expensive car.

No car is perfect, and as a reviewer I have to criticize the (very few things) that could be improved in the 2022 CX-5, especially those that might be better in some of the competitor vehicles. That being said, I still declared the CX-5 best in class as it is an amazing vehicle with great value!

The wood is real , it is called Abatchi , Japanese very hard wood .....the clearcoat on it is thick .....if you pair your phone to the bluetooth in the car the connectivity screen has a option to have touch screen full time on the move ....a little more research if you make videos on a car , Sir .
