Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

fixitfallows travels to France via the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle ( Chunnel ), avoiding the Crit'Air zone of Rouen, to watch / camp the 2022 Le Mans 24 Hours WEC race. Follow as they travel down through France, locate the Beausejour camp site, pitch up and endeavour to watch all 24 hours of the famous, epic endurance race.
With ample footage of the racers, including the victorious Toyota Gazoo Team negotiate the historic Mulsanne straight, Indianapolis Arnage, Esses, Dunlop Bridge, Porshe Curves and Ford Chicane.
Get an insight to the facilities and conditions at the campsite along with details of free transport and entertainment at the circuit, which this year included a concert by the Stranglers.
All booked through:

Cost for channel crossing, campsite pitch and General Enclosure Entry for two people was £530. Additional persons were £130 each. This covered the period of 9/6/2022 through to the morning of 13/6/2022 ( We choose to travel on 10/6/2022).
Motorway Toll fees came to approximately £75.
You should note that there is no electricity provided with your camp pitch at Beausejour.
Finally, Id recommend taking a small FM radio with ear phones so that you can tune into the English language radio broadcast Radio Le Mans 91.2FM which provides excellent insightful race commentary. The track is so vast (over 13km long) and the race so long that it is very difficult to keep abreast of the race order, this commentary is invaluable. The broadcast is streamed via the internet too, but if you want to conserve data usage and more importantly, not drain your phone battery, go for a little £12 Bush radio from Argos.

Great review. I was just the other side from you at the start. The camera didn’t show how bloody hot it was! Also booked through the same people. 👌

Oh yes, it was so so hot. We were moving around the track a fair bit and finding shade was not easy as everyone wanted it!

How did you find the walk from campsite to the event village ?

I would say from our pitch, which was quite deep into the campsite, it was probably a 15 minute slow stroll into the initial confines of the circuit. That's where the karting track is and access to the secondary paddock area for the supporting race series. From there, its probably a further 10/15 minute walk to get up to the main circuit razmataz (food / merchandise stalls, bars, restaurants and the Dunlop bridge etc). That said there are bus shuttle services from the campsite to various parts of the track, plus within the track complex there are theme park style open carriage trains that shuttle up and down. All well organised, well signed and a decent amount of helpers around and about.
