Listen it in stereo. In '72 and '91 I sung in the boy and men choirs. Really great experiences.

Julia, do you mean the second movement in special (9:50)? If ja, you're absolutely right, it's so airy, mystic, opalescent, shimmering, gleaming, arcane and mysterious describing the cosmos and its luminaries so perfectly. It's some kind of preceding Debussy's or even Philipp Glass' works. Thanks for your comment, again.

Fritz Mayinger Das war sicher ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, wenn auch die Kinder nur wenig zu singen haben. Das Durchstehen vom ersten Satz bis zum letzten, um nochmals in Aktion zu treten, ist für die jungen Beine sicher nicht so leicht zu vergessen, genau so wenig wie für die Stimmbänder die Melodie "Laudate sio ..."

Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I wasn't responsible for the choice of the soloists. During the communist period we had to chose among those who hadn't fled to the west, yet. Even so, I must say, I liked this tenor as a person, because he tried to do the best, just it wasn't exactly his "Fach". You must take in account that he normally sang mostly in operettas.
