LE K took it First Round no question lol. I honestly see the whole aspect. Yes Laurent came with the energy but when it came to the dance aspect and keeping continous flow with that bounce. Roots. LE K. He even utilized breaking. 👀. Felt the track way more in depth.(if you pay attention). Laurent is entertaining for sure. Him starting with his signature I felt the placement was off. Like if he would of at least built up to that point. Then it would of made more impact. Also I peeped the two "walk it out" moments and I felt those resets were opportunity where LE K capitalized. Respectfully my opinion though. Just felt that first round was night and day.

I have a different opinion - Laurent's signature move as a surprise, rather than "building up" to it, is much better. A lot of people used to say that Laurent was repetitive (and it was a fact when he threw all his signature moves right from the start, all at once. Over time, people knew when he was going to do it and it didn't impress anyone anymore, roughly around the year 2013). Even though the move itself is sick, if someone else did it, it would be 'wow'. People simply get used to things, even the most amazing ones. And I think that in this video, doing it unexpectedly (which was right on beat - maybe not perfectly on the drop, but the execution on the rise was perfect, and still unattainable for anyone else on the planet to land and execute.), as something casual - as an addition to the dance, not the main part that no one wanted to wait for anymore, is really a great move on his part.

@@Adidance23 Interesting. As an amateur, I watch from time to time Laurent battling and think "He's repetitive", but I never really thought about this "watch on youtube" thing that brings, for sure, the impression of someone making something repetitive. One point for you.

Laurent is the goat to me, but I think Le K sliced his ass up in the first round. I think Laurent from beginning to end had a more complete round, but Le K's 2nd half was just too powerful. I wouldn't look at someone crazy if they said tie, but mannnnn edit: 2nd round Laurent took that no question to me, he showcased the same musicality Le-K did, but he let the dance breathe a little more, but it still should have been over the 1st round, although it wasd very very complicated. I think Laurent was great from beginning to end, Le K was good but then the exclamation was NUCLEAR, I can see Laurent getting that first round due to consistency.

I'm really into music production and let me tell you I'm so tired of the beat selection and mixing at these euro events. Every beat has some warped amorphous sound, super deep 808s, and a bunch of mini sounds so people like Le K and Laurent can beat-freak on them. The fact that I knew both of these tracks before the first measure was even finished is a big problem. They need music with character, not just music that gives dancers things to 'hit' or 'attack'. I only say this because the music has the strongest influence on the dance. We wouldn't see these same approaches if we weren't hearing the same music. Le K and Laurent are fantastic dancers but in this battle, honestly, they were alright lol, it just felt stale, like I've seen it all before, but better. Hip Hop could learn A LOT from krump right now. Think about it, what was the last hip hop round where there was as much passion, energy, and experimentation as a krump round. Just food for thought. Jehster.

yeah in my preference the music was so mid.... first song ntb but yeah, none of these boys went in deep within their round and I feel like it was a battle of who's got the best tricks... and its coz of the music primarily...

the thing about the twins is we've seen them so much that we don't get surprised or impressed anymore, if the twins didnt exist and Le K did the exact same movements as what Laurent did in the first round everyone would be going crazy

Just on video, Le K took that first round for sure. However Laurent's round seems like one of those that maybe translated better live.

Laurent won. Simple as that. Le k and Laurent have battled before for 5 rounds. Laurent is just stronger for now. Le k can become better with time.

LeK had kill moments and offbeat moments both. Laurent finished too short. Tie, win, lose anything is possible for the first round based on preference.
