Nel suo talk Claudia Cherubini introduce la filosofia “Sponge City”, nel quale si sfrutta il riutilizzo di risorse idriche ‘non convenzionali’ per poter rendere più resilienti le diverse aree urbane di fronte ai cambiamenti climatici. L'obiettivo è di garantire la sostenibilità di lungo periodo delle infrastrutture idriche. Claudia Cherubini teaches at the University of Ferrara, as well as being Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland (Australia) and Adjunct Professor at the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics. Over the years her research on hydrogeology topics applied to different sectors of Environmental Engineering, led her to obtain numerous awards. She is currently the sole manager for the University of Ferrara of the European Project "Air Break" under the Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) program.
