depends on your preferences, after flipping it more it definitely feels like it's missing a tiny bit of ass weight, but nothing egregious

@@0ViciousV0 V3 handles are more rounded, and have deeper jimping, leading to less handle weight, and the tanto swedge was slightly changed. imo, the v3 bowie is better than v3 tanto, but v2.5 and before is better as a tanto

Wait whaaa???? Like a Kraken? I think you are way off point on that one bro. Or that a pre pro or something. A kraken is my go to and I got #36 a week ago and there is nothing kraken about it. Its disgustingly blade biased and has no handle weight what so ever. Which is super weird frome ldy. All there stuff is usually fairly neutral/slight handle and end weighted but not the corvus. Its blade heavy like a kraken but those handles weigh a whole lotta nothing. Try an infinity fan and its backwards. It just stalls out cause youre expecting the weight to be on the other side. Most balances can be split subjectively but not this one. Hate to say it cause LDY is my favorite maker but doesn't feel flipper designed but strictly CAD designed. Is the center of mass in the right spot on the the program? Sure but does it work? Nah not really.. feels like they completely skipped testing.

I think whatever you're used to flipping is swaying your opinion, it's definitely not blade heavy, it flips like a slightly shorter kraken. when you say #36, do you mean a first prod V1 orrrr? edit: you're right about it lacking some handle weight, but it's not to the level of something like the baikal, or the flytanium zenith trainer. it's definitely flippable once you tweak your flipping

​@DJEyelessPyro Sorry apparently i wrote that like shit Lol. I have Corvus #36/280. The production models are numbered in the handle. Youre usually pretty on point with shit and i know its a little closer to your preference than mine cause i sway twoard slight handle rather than blade. But we both find the kraken and both the v1 and 1.5 orions to be damn near perfect i just prefer the live 1.5 over the trainer so not that far off. I got the corvus thinking out of my 50+ knives my V1 Orion, My 2 live and one trainer V1.5 Orions, Sirius v3 and Cygnus Evo are all in my constant rotation with my krakens and whatnot so I was expecting more of the same but something is really weird with the Corvus and it just doesnt add up cause it doesnt stick on rolls at all. I dont think the impressions could be that far of so im starting to genuinely think something changed between the production and pre pros. You know that shitty 7075 the titus and touch times uses on there cheap trash? Like that weird brs channel aluminum thing that was $30 and super popular for while... Felt like sahara handles on a rep trainer blade. Feels better than that but similar. So I think the factory pulled some fuckery in typical china cost cutting fassion cause thats what the handles feel like. Not that quality heavy 7075 like the orion or sirius. That nice glassy heavy billet 7075. Doesnt sound or feel right and the dimensions are there but the mass is missing. Its weird... I dont think LDY did it theyre stand up dudes but their supplier has been pulling some bullshit lately. First i had to waranty 2 1.5s cause the blades were so warped they were hitting the handles then, then one of the replacements showed up with blistered anno (dont care gonna beat it anyways but still...) , then had to pay double postage on my 3rd 1.5 and Corvus cause of photo shopped lables like the clone companys pull sometimes and now a Corvus with dead handles and almost a gram missing compared to the spec sheet. You may be on point man it might just be fuckery which is a shame. Unfortunately LDY doesn't take delivery anymore it goes straight from China to a 3rd party shipper in CA supposedly, ( recived a couple clones and LOG knives from the same address in Ontario California) and delivered from there so a bunch of QC issues are slipping through to delivery. So the more i think about it, it may be the knife not you. Still gorgeous though... Ill give them that lol.

@@FlippityShiv ive owned that alu rep clone thing, and its nowhere near that, like i said its slight, but noticeable. im also pretty sure they dont have "production" models, im almost certain they said they were limiting these to 280 and that was it, as these were a test for the new sirius v4, but idk, maybe there is a difference between ours? but i doubt it honestly. i do agree that the corvus is different than the rest of their lineup, but i think thats a good thing, doesnt muddy up their options (like squid), so idk, if you dont like it, i can understand why, but its not to a point of unflappability, which is why i like it, though i do wish it had a tad more handle weight. ill probably stick some putty in the ends of the handles to help it out.

I give it an 8 but it’s ugly as hell
