    Only thing on my wishlist for these units: powercon out on the left hand side for cleaner cable runs when daisy chaining. I'm half-tempted to crack mine open and add powercon out on the polecup plate somewhere.

    Thank you William!! One more question. Will the mon10ag3 be enough for our band? Money is an issue. But we want the best monitor sound for our money. The band is country rock. 5 piece. We use Fender guitar amps, Small ringo drum kit. And single 15 bass amp. Smokehouse is the band.

    I haven't used them for rock music yet. So far just songwriter events and church. They don't have any problem getting loud though. I purchased them directly from an Adam Hall representative. I would take a look on the LD website and see if you can find some contact info. If that doesn't work just request a quote from Sweetwater and they'll give you a better deal than the list price

    Hey William, I like your take on these speakers. I do own a pair of these as well for about five months. At the time they didn't have any covers for them. I'm planning on purchasing another pair. What I like about them is the sound and small footprint that they take up on the stage. Like you I still have them in the boxes they came in. I have use them for four events. Each band that I have use them with was very impress on how they really sound. As in your video you did mention that they do have covers out for them now. I've been looking for covers way before I came across your video. Is there any way you can let me know where did you find the covers for the speakers?

    What made you buy 12” instead of 10” or 15”?

    When you powered up the speaker you mentioned noticeable noise floor. How loud was that? Does it vary with the gain setting?

    I'm going to have to try it next to something else. I was able to notice it but my room is pretty quiet. I suspect even in something like a singer-songwriter event it would be hard to notice as a performer

    The hiss is louder than average, it is not related to volume.

    Hello, How about the notch frequency and notch gain? Using these for vocal floor monitors.. Not sure where to set the notch gain and notch frequency? Never heard of these settings?

  • @WilliamOgden

    The notch just means you're cutting out a specific small band of frequencies that are feeding back. Similar to a tight q on a parametric EQ

    @@WilliamOgden Use a 31 band eq , with a notch filter you'll only be able to take out one troublesome feedback there will usually be more than one.

    @@georgegeorgio1751 Jimmy is simply referring to the built-in functionality on the wedge. If I'm connected to a digital console I will always use a parametric EQ before a graphic EQ. It's much more precise and if I have more than four bands feeding back I have a different problem

    @@WilliamOgden The point i'm making is that if you are a serious band you'd be either using a digi or analog eq to properly control monitors for vocalists but for all other purposes i think the included eq options are better than most powered speakers.

    Hey, What does the delay actually do? Not familiar with it. 0- 32 feet??

  • @WilliamOgden

    @WilliamOgden

    It's to compensate for the speed of sound. Say you place a pair of these by the band and then you place another set 30 ft into the audience. The ones that are in the audience will reach the ears of the audience sooner because they are closer so you must delay them to match the main speakers

    Thank You! We just line up three on the front of the stage . and one for the drummer. total. Not sure if we need to delay them.@@WilliamOgden

    @@jimmym5052 You do not need to delay these when used as monitor wedges. You use delay to compensate for arrival times when the audience will be in the coverage pattern of multiple speakers at different distances.
