I stood in this same place, draped over my Marine son’s casket. It is so very painful. I did not think I would ever stop crying. My heart goes out to the family. He is at his new post, keeping heaven all secure. Semper Fi Marine. Thank you for your service.

OMG, this broke me. I may be very late to the party, but man this carries so much hurt and respect at the same time. I watch these videos with tears streaming down my cheeks. I live in the UK. I don't even know if anything like this is ever done for our fallen? I've not heard of anything like this, even people adorning the streets to pay respects to them. If anyone can put me right, please do. RIP to all fallen heros. This one hurt. I lost a Velasco cousin in Vietnam, 17, Jan 68 while I too was in country. He was Army. He was from Los Angeles, today he is found on Panel 34B. Whether LCpl Velasco is my family matters not; he is a Velasco, someone who could be related to my family. So sad and painful.

I cried a lot with this video and I thank God for having our Latino brothers representing our Hispanic community in the United States Armed Forces. Thank you all for your effort, hard work and dedication, for always being there to take care of us and protect us. Being a Vet myself(Vietnam) I've seen many of these Videos but THIS ONE cut real deep.. This Young Soldier GAVE of Himself.. MANY in Life will NOT accomplish what this Marine Soldier has.. This SHOULD be shown EVERYWHERE EVERYDAY across the Nation ESPECIALLY with the State of America.. LCPL. Velasco YOU MADE something of your LIFE. You are NOW in ETERNAL Armed Forces with THOSE who I KNOW gave you the HEROES welcome you SO deserved..

I did some training in Australia, it is beautiful there. Served during 1983-87. 1st. Batt. 3rd. Marines. May God bless you and your family for eternity. Sadly there has been many crashes with the Osprey helicopters.

Laura, I don't know if you read the comments here very often but I want to thank you for what you do. I cannot say that I understand the brotherhood of service members but that is not because I hate or anything of that nature. I was not born into a military family so I really couldn't understand what that means. But I do understand the sacrifices that people in the miltary have made and I appreciate that very much.
