I don’t know. MUSE has some awesome bass! (And I LOVE this song.) Bought Nilsson Shmilsson went it came out in 1971. I was 21. ❤️ But still the best cover that I’ve heard of JITF.
that's just off the hook crazy
Wow! Best damn cover of this song ever! I'm fine with the sound mix....that "poor sound quality" some of you are on about makes it more intense! This was I wanted my band to do with this song....but LCD beat me to it. Oh well....we'll STILL do it.

Try Nazz "open my eyes" its also a real battering ram of a song that isnt evr repeated by them (or todd rundgren). whats crazy is that nilsson 's vers will never be beat - the bass!? its without precedent - nothingwas that hard then(Rare Earth?closest) -- its like he can see Can + the Fall in the future and stakes his claim.
Nilsson!!!!!!!
I new when I heard his New York I Love You song that he was a Harry Nillson fan.
awesome cover . i just watched the Son of Dracula movie the other day with this song dominating the movie soundtrack.
VERY very COOL.
why do I envision The Cult just killing this song?

It does remind me of she sells sanctuary. Totally get that
Great Job, LCD Soundsystem is kill, but the editor/director should've gotten a CU of the bassist doing that crazy detuning going into the guitar solo and coming out of the drum solo. right? jus sayin'
Fucking awesome cover of one my favorite songs!!!
AWE! Great rendition! Stir the sauce!
Great version.
Hell yeah! Sensational!
Thank you
Nicely done people!!! Thank you!

Like an explosion could from all that energy !
2:05 me, at 11PM, open the fridge, and found nothing!

goddamn that was good!
A smooooooth cut.
That's how that song is suppose to be done.
feeling alive 🔥🌌🪶
If the sound mix stinks "pike606" don't listen to it, don't comment. Just move along.
Love the song ("poor" mix and all), but the editing is just butchery. A lot of clips randomly glued together.
Dr. Hannibal Lecter would've had the bass player for dinner ):
SACK ZEMENT ! ( means : WOW )
I think it's perfect. mix? buy a blender. it was recorded live at zdf
Anybody know who plays bass on the original version and if he really detunes his e string during the song

THIS ISN'T BAD BUT NOT NEARLY AS GOOD AS THE CARSON ANDERSTON VERSION.
man its just too bad this was their last show... never gonna see em again.
Is it me or the bassist overtuned the bass when he returns the affination ???
@avisualdevice8803

he does because that is what happens in the recording... the bassist jokingly detuned (down) when he thought the session ended.
IS THAT IAN ASHBURY ON VOCALS ??????
I don't get it. Yes, they have intensity, but there is more to singing than just SCREAMING!
The singer looks like he'd be Nillson's son , kinda , but the voice ,no.
