    Yes, but with such a long intro what else could he have done? It would have been awkward for him to just dance in front of the mic without singing.

    According to the notes on a DVD, the band is: Bass - Prakash John Drums - Pentti "Whitey" Glan* Guitar - Danny Weis Keyboards - Michael Fonfara Vocals, Written-By - Lou Reed

  • @MrCherryJuice

    @MrCherryJuice

    3 жыл бұрын

    Glann and John came from Toronto band Mandala, which evolved into Bush (long before the British band of that name). Domenic Troiano (RIP) (gtr./voc.) and Roy Kenner (voc.) were also in those bands. When Bush split, Troiano and Kenner took Joe Walsh's place in the James Gang, while Whitey and Prakash did Lou Reed and Alice Cooper ('Welcome to My Nightmare' era). Whitey (RIP) is also the drummer seen in Bette Midler's movie, 'The Rose'. Weis, originally with early Iron Butterfly, and Fonfara came from the Electra label supergroup Rhinosceros, best known for their hit instrumental 'Apricot Brandy'. Rhinosceros was a killer band!

    I think they are comparing the intro to SJ on Rock $ Roll Animal. I think both intros are awesome. And this performance once he comes on stage is better. Non the less I like both versions. But this one makes wants dance. Dunno, He was like Bowie. Always changing like a chameleon on a multi colored carpet.
