Western sales always come with usage consents. You can use them if they disapproved. Dun you know that! Anyway, talking about Korea, it's not a major aviation powerhouse. Does SKorea deployed Korean mad made fighter jets or imported US model? That's a role of a junior partner, but India regards itself as a "superpower/technological powerhouse" unlike SKorea at least.

Comparing Tejas with JF17 - 1) Dubai 2023 is the first time Indian Tejas and Pakistani jf17 came together at an air show. This is because during all previous air displays, Dubai 2021, LIMA 2019, Bahrain 2016, wherever the Indian Tejas participated, the Pakistani team cancelled their JF17 participation after ceding the participation fee. This is the first time after block 3 that Pakistanis finally feel comfortable showcasing their jf17 in front of Indian Tejas. Speaks volumes about Pakistani air force’s trust in their jf17 2) The manufacturing country China does not use jf17 and only exports it to poor countries 3) Even after buying 150 of these jf17 the Pakistan Air Force still relies mainly on their old American f16 and has also started buying Chinese J10 fighter, acknowledging their dissatisfaction with this junk jf17 4) The jf17 block 1 and 2 do not have AESA radar, no in flight refueling, only two dimensional fly by wire, all metal body causing high weight, low thurst weight ratio, older electronics and only Chinese weapons to fire 5) The new block 3 jf17 variant has a cheaper air cooled AESA radar unable to operate at max power and hence lower range. Further, block 3 retains the same old Russian rd93 based engines, uses pod based electronic warfare as well as same metal body and cheap build quality as older block 1 & 2 6) JF17 does not have sensor fusion capability and nor any active/shape stealth features to cater to the advancements in technology for going beyond the fourth generation of fighter aircrafts 7) The all metal airframe has poor manufacturing quality resulting in an availability of approx 40% for Pakistan Air Force The performance and reliability of jf17 is so bad that both export customers, Myanmar as well as Nigeria air forces have grounded this aircraft The availability numbers of Pakistani jf17 are mostly hidden by Pakistan Air Force, but Myanmar and Nigerian air forces are more vocal about their dissatisfaction. These have been detailed in pentapostagma as well as irrawaddy 8) Contrary to this, the Indian Air Force is impressed with the performance numbers of their baseline Tejas variant over the past four years, so much so that they have placed orders for 83 additional Tejas aircraft in improved mk1a configuration and ordering another lot of 97 more Tejas fighters 9) The Tejas aircraft is also evolving further with the mk2 variant as well as a naval variant called TEDBF, both of which incorporate sensor fusion and more fifth generation technologies

delta wing has its pros and cons. pros are far greater payload carrying capacity and delta wing are cheap. cons are if wings get damaged, then aircraft becomes unstable. But pros are more, thats why rafale and eurofighter typhoon-all use delta wing design. but don't expect rational from neighbors. the population is poor and illiterate, economy is collapsed and their pm is begging for money. so poor awam have only made up fantasies to get them through the day. its not entirely their fault

Tejas and other delta wing jets can perform cobra maneuver without thrust vectoring, but they me stall in air. And in international air show no one going to take that risk

Thanks to the previous government... its been 9 years with the current government and we already have so many thing coming out to the reality from the plans... sadly the plans are 30 years old and are horrific. Current government is trying its best to join pieces together to make up for the missing strength number for now. And is working hard to get upto date technology untill 2030.. all the programs are ending between 2030 to 2032.. so am glad atleast we got the right government who doesnt run behind money and talks nonsense...

There is no place for canards, hence the crancked delta wings. Also the canards aren't really going to make too much of a difference in a fighter jet so small and light as this one. There are other ways to compensate for it like relocating the aerodynamic center of gravity. Which has been done.

Thats what Jets do.They have an turbo fan engine.simply newton's 3rd law of motion, push the air downwards with thrust it will take you in opposite direction.So put a brick with such combination with proper design it will fly.Simple. So open your brain little bit other than trolling.

Show me where it says combat radius of JF-17 is 1200km. China says Range is 1200 km there is a difference between combat range and combat radius. China never reveals combat radius of their aircraft it is their marketing strategy. And just by looking at it Tejas was moving twice the speed of JF-17😅

It's light weight fighter jet very useful in ongoing war

wings span is too much. definitely fly at high speed and high attitude, but low in maneuverability, these wings are required for long combat range like transcontinental targets and then returning back to base.

If you want to eat an apple you have to plant a tree. Although our indigenous fighter program is way behind but we are not copying like Chna we are gaining knowledge and building our own aircraft from scratch that will enable us to know the different aspect. A aircraft is not only about stealth there are various aspect and till today 100% stealth capabilities is near impossible to achieve. For your knowledge we too had developed stealth paints. Stealth capabilities are in AMCA project not in tejas it's just a multirole aircraft that can go to high altitudes. You believe in looks not functionality...
