I'm so glad you got checked out, Brian! I'm a retired RN and our son is an Emergency physician and we'd both say you did exactly the right thing. I pray for you and your family to continue to be well. The sod is amazing! I LOVE it! You are doing amazing work with your property - being a great steward. Also, while Daisy continues to be beautiful, the lambs are adorable! I love watching them! Thanks so much for sharing everything, my friend. Sending you and Emilie and Noah love and prayers!

You are not alone. I ended up in the ER as well a few weeks ago with anxiety. It got so bad I ended up dehydrated with dizziness. I literally thought I was dying. By the time I got to the hospital my husband had to get me wheelchair. I could not walk. Anxiety is a real illness. It can be cribbing. I have lost all desire to garden , so and cook. My three major loves. I can’t make it stop and just seems tonjust get worst. It makes me so happy to see you to just push forward.

When I first saw the thumbnail for this video, I literally said out loud, "Oh no, Brian!" My wife looked over at me, and I then had to explain the situation to her. I'm a very shy person even when it comes to social media, so I have never really commented on very many videos. (Mainly comments about the cottage garden) But when I first found your channel (Next Level Gardening), I couldn't get enough. I went back to the beginning. Your very first video started binge watching, so I didn't miss a single step of the process. Then, when you moved and started Next Level Homestead I subscribed to that and never missed a video. I've learned a lot from you, Brian, and you've given me a lot of inspiration and motivation to make my gardens even better. The cottage has been one of my favorite projects since you started it. The sod looks great and makes it all blend together and look complete. I can't wait to see a full view of it when it's all finished! Maybe with a bit of drone footage.?

You had me worried, Brian. I’m thankful and relieved your ER visit determined it wasn’t the worst it could be. And oh, I’m so impressed with how the new lawn is like a frame around your cottage garden art! Putting the extra sod on the other side of your driveway is a great idea. It will integrate the cottage garden more into your yard. I like how you blend your gardens, even with fences and paths, so that you don’t have strict edges between one style and another. It’s all beautiful now, even though it’s a work in progress, and I love knowing your ideas for the future. I can’t thank you enough for your videos!

So thankful to be able to watch you achieve these things and share in your joy and excitement. It is so satisfying and wholesome. Hi, firstly, if you drink any form of caffeine I highly recommend you stop ASAP. Find a few videos on KZread about people quitting caffeine and just read the comments about how much caffeine pushed their anxiety levels through the roof. Quitting caffeine is very hard at first but it really is worth it. Secondly, I also recommend doing some research on the human gut microbiome. Your gut bacteria has 2 way communication with your brain through the vagus nerve. Your gut microbiome can affect your metal health, cognition, hormones and much more. Best of luck!

I'm 34 years old, and I've been to the E.R. for an anxiety attack. I was worried that I was having a heart attack. They did all the same tests for me, minus the chest x-ray. Basically, my heart and all my organs are perfect, minus the slightly fatty liver. So basically, I was having an anxiety attack and my GERD was flaring up. It really sucks and hurts. I'm pretty sure the pain was making my anxiety worse and it was just looping. They gave me something that I can't remember and some omeprazole. I was feeling better 2 hours later and they sent me home. I'm glad that's all it was. But, I had the same thought. I would have been mad at myself if I could have prevented anything worse from happening and my kids need their mom. I'm glad that you're ok. I would have really missed your updates on both channels. Following you on your adventures always brightens my day.

I too, have had an experience with anxiety attacks and trips to the ER, and feeling like I should have just known better or stayed home, but there is nothing to compare to the ER staff saying you are OK and your tests are fine. Those attacks are no fun, the mind is an amazing thing. It rules everything that happens to you! It's so easy to think you can just let it go, but you did the right thing and now you know that. And the cottage garden is complete? FANTASTIC LOOK!! In no time, the sod will fill in and take root, and your time will not be spent trying to do too many things with that being so close to finished. Congratulations!

Your wife and son are also such good people. I also suffer from anxiety AND have some minor heart problems handled by meds. But every now and then something changes, a new pain here or there or irregular heart beats that brings on that anxiety. It is ALWAYS a relief to know my heart is all right. Brian, we are all working on perfecting and "quieting" our difficult personalities. We are really our souls, coming into a life experience . . . learning lessons along the way, and slowly advancing. When I have a difficult day, I try to just stay centered in the protective light of my soul until the crisis passes. Please remember that we all admire your creativity, your ethics, and the beautiful property you have created. Also, because you are so caring, your new young animals pick up on that and begin to relax. It is admirable to see how trusting they have become, and how they have become friends with one another. Life with you is much better than where they came from--each one gets your individual attention every day, and they now feel a part of their new loving family.

my husband was in ER too this week. Gruesome accident with a table saw. Trauma was so intense he ended up in the hospital for 4 days, not bcz of the injury (surgeon dealt with that) but the effect this terrifying experience had on his heart. When your mind is freaking out it can do things to even a healthy heart. Cardiologists can shock the heart back to normal. Amazing and scary how the brain controls the body!

I had a sense of dread when I read the title of your video but it turned out to be one of the most satisfying thank goodness!! SO VERY HAPPY to hear you went to the ER (as you say, better safe than sorry!) and that it was a good experience with happy results. The new sod looks AMAZING! The whole cottage garden just blows my mind and I never cease to be impressed with your vision and your talent and your accomplishments. No doubt in my mind that you are a unique and special human being! Sometimes I wish you were even more ‘superhuman’ than I feel you are because I can’t wait to see the rest of your plans come to fruition and wish it could happen faster lol. But I know, patience is a virtue. As you can probably guess, I so look forward to your next video whenever it may arrive. So keep up the good work! Lastly, all your critters bring me such joy. Who knew it could be so satisfying watching those cuties chew their hay? And after watching Bella eye up those eggs you were putting in the basket and thinking ‘I know she wants one of those!’ I couldn’t help but chuckle as soon as you said you left the egg door open. When we lived in the East Bay Area, we had Kaiser. Both kids were born there and we never had any issues for the 23yrs we were there! Sod looks great! We put sod down in our old house on Halloween and I just got finished in the front area just before the kids came! Our only issue was a raccoon lifting the sod looking for tasty treats!

You make the drip look so easy. We ordered all the parts to do drip irrigation on my raised garden beds. We started in the fall but ran out of time. My husband resumed a few weeks ago. It was really frustrating. When he turned the water on to test it all his fittings blew apart or they leaked. We purchased a gauge and tested the pressure. It was 60 psi. We do have a filter/pressure regulator to 25 psi on it and wondered if it could be defective. We contacted the company where we purchased the parts and they told us most of their clients don't even use a pressure regulator and that we don't really need it. He put clamps at the joints and they suggested that the clamps we used weren't heavy duty enough. It's completely frustrating as we've come to a standstill. Luckily it has rained the last couple of days. We're thinking of ordering another pressure regulator and attaching it to the filter/regulator we already installed. Very, very frustrating.

I'm so sorry that you struggle so much with anxiety. I know first hand that it can make you feel like you're dying, and it strikes with no rhyme or reason. I hope it gets better for you! Much love and healing from my heart to yours ❤❤❤❤

Absolutely beautiful work Brian. Glad you went to the ER and got checked out. It’s better to get checked out and find out it wasn’t a heart attack coming on. Anxiety is awful and as I’ve been in your shoes I know how scary it is and it makes your imagination go wild. So very happy you’re ok. Your homestead I’d coming along beautifully. Looking forward to your next video.

ADHD makes life sooo interesting!! I've been working on waaaay too many gardening projects all at the same time!! So, at the end of your video, I chuckled to myself when you pointed out the leftover sod... & said you could put in on the other side of the driveway.... hahahaaa. Yup... not that easy, cuz, as you said, the area needs irrigation, gopher wire, topsoil, & then cut the sod to fit!! I can totally relate!! Glad you went to the ER.... better safe than sorry... and after the tests said you were 'ok', it did definitely ease your anxiety. Thank you for being so candid, honest & perpetually busy... which is so motivating!!

As you can tell. You are not alone. I too ended up in ER with same type if conditions. And it turns out i had acid reflux. We went through several years of chaos and stress. And i suffered PTSD. And my doctor and therapist said my body was letting me know i need to change the way I deal with stress. I am not comparing or down playing your situation. But i totally get it. I am doing so much better with my changes. Hamg in there.

I'm glad you got checked out and everything is fine. The lawn looks amazing and what an unbelievable difference it makes in the look of the cottage garden. I got tickled when you said it was going to be hot at 80°. I'm in NW Louisiana and we have been in the upper 90's the last couple of weeks with 100° temps for these next 3 days. The humidity is the worst part! Thanks for another great video!

Sometimes, making that decision to go to the ER or DR for something is difficult but it sounds like it was the best one for you and SOOOO glad the result was positive. Have an awesome week. :)

Thank you for your generous transparency. Mental health issues are so taboo, and that's so unfair. As someone who's had a fabulous life, and suicidal thoughts, it's often a battle fought in silence and alone. The very best advice I've ever been given is to remember that thoughts can also be habits, and habits can be broken. When I catch myself thinking negatively, or worrying about things I can't fix, I just remind myself that I don't have to think that way any more and find a fun distraction. I adore what you're doing with your garden, it's such an inspiration to me.

Dearest Brian first off I want to start by saying how much I enjoy your channel and what a gardening head you have on your shoulders, which I’m sure as a fellow Gardner brings you great joy, and a place to clear your mind but mostly about a year and a half ago I found the Lord and I suffered from severe anxiety, but since I have found the Lord, I have such peace, joy, happiness, and it does state in the Bible that we’re not supposed to be anxious about things. If you turn it over to the Lord, you can find peace and happiness and joy, so I am sending prayers to you to help you heal from the anxiety. God bless you.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

The sod looks amazing! What a difference! Little patches of grass or so great, a place for your eye to rest when there’s so many other things going on. I’m so glad you went to the ER. I put myself in a similar situation about two years ago. After seeing the doctor I felt so much better. Your whole property is really coming together and it looks fantastic. It will be like a mini “happiest place on earth” wish I could come to see it sometime.

The grass look nice. I’m glad u r feeling better. I also suffer with anxiety for about 16 years. It got worse when my dad passed 10 years ago and then again in 2017. It would happen when I drove to work. I just learned today to take a cold shower, put a bag of ice on ur neck or put ur hand in ice cold water. It shocks the nerves so u could calm down.
