Thanks Marcus, a lovely batch of sand on this one! These boots are Steel Blue, best boots I’ve ever had, not the cheapest but so comfy

I like the way you butter the end.....how on earth does it even stay on with just a "slop"....I would be fannying about for ever....pleasure to watch...thanks

Thanks! It’s all in the mix and the pressure you apply. I’ve seen people I’ve taught try and slap it on as hard as they can but it’s just needing the right amount of pressure (not too much not too little) to get it to stick. Glad you liked it 😃😃

Nice neat work Sam . I have a 10 inch narrow London keystone Bon with the soft grip handle . Nice trowels , metal in them seems good.

@@brickbybric thanks. Yea seems a nice trowel so far just needs a bit of getting used to with the size

Beneath the footing blocks is it poured concrete, mixer concrete, blocks laid flat, footing blocks?

Poured ready mix concrete around 225-250mm deep was the foundation. I got to finish it myself as the last ‘builder’ that poured one for me did it so badly out of level then was surprised when I said it was out of level 🤣

@@SamDaviesBuilder thank you! I wonder why we dont build more subterranean stuff like the australians and bits of america do. Big dig out, tank the walls and in areas well away from the water table. Loads of blockwork to create a huge stable temperature noise resistant living room. With all this eco (matchwood prefab stuff) going up everywhere it would be a good way to maximise. Or a gym!

@@RedwolfDogrocket yea I think exactly the same sometimes. I think it must come down to cost but I’d love an underground room. Could make a great utility room space with a laundry shute from the landing! A lot of expensive property in London have retro fitted basements at huge expense
