Hey…. Idk if you know what that album means. I was in the same AO as Shultz and Brown. I think. I was in Baghdad in in 03-18. I swear I heard them pick and play it out around our campfires. Maybe it wasnt them…. Idk for sure. But ill say this… that music has kept me sane. It helps me deal what i have delt with years ago and what i still deal with today…. Its not really any less but its definitely not worse. I am amazed a man your age… no disrespect… knows this music and learned how to play it. I filled my heart when i saw you play You Know Me. Still love it. Here is a story bro. I am a SWAT cop now. And today i had to take the SWAT MRAP to a place for citizens to walk by and check it out. Its a big event. Called “Touch a Truck”. All city vehicles were represented. So anyways… this young SWAT cop who has never EVER done anything is with me and I notice “SWAT COP A” (no names) got a new tat. So we were there at touch a truck and i noticed his tat. Its St. Michale killing a fire breathing dragon. It covers his WHOLE arm. Its a nicely done tat no doubt…. So i asked him why he got it. He says cause it represents him. He asks me.. why dont you have tattoos? I says…. What would i stain me with? He says… Oh i dont know… you have been arond the world…. He made it pointless. I says…. Why stain my cheap skin???? My soul has the scars and stains. My mind and memory are what tells my story…. How can i tattoo an American dad who didnt go home on my body? How can I attest to the men who didn’t go home on that side either on account of me??? No artist can capture that. It wouldn’t be good enough. It would cause an amputation. He looked at me and kinda joked it off. But i want a tat. I just dont know what….. ok. Thats my drunk shpil! 🫡
