This is the best explanation about this topic
You're the best! Thank you for your wonderful lessons and for exposing those stupid 'teachers'
Great video teacher. God bless you all.
Thank you
To be honest with you dear Kevin and Liza I'm really used to watching your videos before going to bed every night much love and respect for you two from the core of heart.
Every day I learn something new, interesting and useful from your videos! Great job! 👍Thank you very much! 👌🙏
Kevin and Liza are the best teachers on the KZread.
You explained this ''confusing'' topic in a easy, correct and modern way! Well done!
What a great video! At last I got to know how to use them. Hooray!
I finally understood this 😁👍
The best teacher as always! TY!!!
😀
Great explanation! Thank you,I appreciate your great efforts
I grew up in the Caribbean and we were taught lie down, but I have come to realize most educated speakers of English adhere to the rules. I believe one of the reasons why lay down has become acceptable is, we immitate the speech patterns of people in the entertainment industry who have infiltrated our lives. Case in point, the clips you used for examples.
Thank you for clarifying!
Thanks You very much
how can you guys be so amazing? ❤❤❤
Thank you very much for this awesome explanation!!
Awesome
Wonderful... so helpful and easy to understand. Thank you🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
❤❤❤❤
Thanks for class...
Thanks a lot.
Thanks, great job as always
I can’t find any other English teaching channels better than this! 🤔
Really nice lesson, thanks
Amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤
It is imperative to know the difference between lay (lei) and lie (lai) ... Thanks
Great video 👏🏻
Make a vid about how or when to use modal verbs as an adjective?? e.g. this is a MUST watch.
So great!
Superb❤
Thanks God. At least you Kevin explained it in a good way. I have always used “Lay” tho, I like this word more 😊
Kevin is a genius as a teacher.
Really awesome lesson.
Great content love what ypu do
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
God bless you Kevin ❤
this is why you should take the language from a qualified native teacher . good lesson
@TiffanySarg

I'd say "from a qualified teacher", only. There are many natives teaching the language and are not qualified to teach. As well as many no native teachers doing an amazing job.
Nailed it again!
thank you so much 😍
Thanks for another great lesson!
Great explanation! Thank you
Merci beaucoup
👍
Just brilliantly! I’ve been always confused about these words and the answer turned up unexpectedly! Thanks a lot, Kevin and Liza
Thank you so much!
You nailed it.
Thank you for the explanations! This is all i need.
And now it's clear, thanks ❤❤❤❤!!
Super lesson!❤
Thanks a lot for this useful video.
Why is "He's always lying around"? What both words even ignore common English grammar? Such boss words 😊
Tip -top.you re always outperforming.
I've been learning English for quite a long time, and I still can't confidently use these verbs. Thank you for the lesson!
These two verbs are really confusing! Thank you for the best explanation! I love your channel ❤️

Thank you, guys 😊
Thanks ,, from Yemen ,, I try to teach my pupils A accent instead of B A is easy
There's a little detail: When you take an exam or test, you gotta make that difference in English and you've got to choose the correct option, Kevin's right, in spoken English they use both verbs interchangeably but when you take a formal exam or test, you have to choose the grammatically correct answer, that's what Kevin didn't mention in the video but anyway his explanation was very helpful and useful. Or maybe, when you take the exam they might accept you use both forms interchangeably but I don't think so, I think that happens only in spoken English.
I miss ur new video!!!
Sempre fiquei muito confusa entre as duas palavras, agora ficou mais fácil!!!
I love the way you clarify every topic. I belive Linking sounds would be a nice topic to bring it up and discuss on when it is necessary to join the words ❤🎉
Soooooo important. Thanks.
Amazing content! How do you guys search for all these movie clips to exemplify the language concepts?
Amazing! I've always wondered why I have so much trouble remembering "lie lay lain". I know all the other irregular forms, and I have never tried to learn them, I just know them from watching a lot of content in English. Now I know, I just don't hear them used anywhere
I think one of some other Americanisms that had become accepted over time is 'if it was'/'as if it was' - instead of how textbooks teach: 'were'
Good❤
I trust a native speaker like you Sir.
Thanks . Very clera explanation

Well, that's not correct Clera ? We don't say clera. We say clear Is that a clear explanation? Yes, that's a clear explanation! I'm just kidding btw 😅

Why is there no new videos from you for the sixth day? Is everything ok?
Great content as always!! the best explanation i've seen!
Thank you so much for teaching this ❤, I was always confused about this.
Make a vid about ''To & for"' the difference, how , when or where to use em.
In France, many people make mistakes. For example " il faut savoir qu'est-ce-que" instead of "il faut savoir ce que ". Almost everyone makes this horrible mistake ! But I think that even though others don't speak a right way, I can't feel authorized to speak as they do. I'd like to know whether "lay" is really grammatically correct to mean "lie". As a matter of fact, I recently read in a dictionary : "Note: "Lay" is also the past tense of "lie." It is sometimes used incorrectly in the present tense instead of "lie.""
It is so funny that foreigners dare to teach English (and even sell online courses) The funnier thing is a number of people pay a handsome amount of money to learn incorrect English The world is full of jokes
Thank you teachers ,you both made me clear because I was confuse when I watch English movie. I had learned in Grammar difference between lie and lay but real English doesn't follow strict English rules and regulations. Lots of ❤❤ from Nepal.
''If you want my help to help you with your english'' is it correct?? what he meant? why not ''if you want my help, I'll help you...or If you want me to help you ....''??? From Dave's video
Grammar textbooks still have a long way to go. The distinction between "Lie" and "Lay" is very strict. The same goes for the past and past participle forms of "Lie" and "Lay." You screw them up and you're gonna flunk the all exercise 😂
Thanks again, Kevin and Liza! I remember having a client (I used to work as a trainer). He was american. And i asked him what the difference between these two words were? It wasn’t an easy task for him to do and after thinking for a while he said “F&ck, I don’t know”😂
I so confused about the difference between lie and lay down...
The verb “lay” is transitive, so it requires a direct object. We can’t say “I lay on the sofa”😐 apparently, not all the English native speakers can speak real English.
@LuisHernandez88

No, actually ChatGPT agrees with them. We can say lay down on the sofa 😊
There's nothing called American English, but native English speakers is fine.
What happened to my beloved family? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Today I miss not only ur video but also my beloved teachers Kevin and Liza 😍😍😍😍😍😍
So, the profusion and preponderance of ignorance regarding lay and lie has now rendered the RULE inoperable? What I would have expected from an English language teacher is a clear definition and explanation of the rule regarding correct grammar, rather than a concession to an incorrect majority assumption. The message that it's okay to use incorrect grammar if lots of other people are doing it is, I would argue, unhelpful. I respect your efforts to educate on the topic of grammar, but with regard to this particular issue, I wish to register a dissenting opinion. Thank you.
If I wanna take a toefl test, which should I follow? Lie and lay with the same meaning or different meaning?
If nobody bought bread yesterday (why ''we will eat""??) we would eat nothing
Is it okay to use lay in formal speech?
Kevin and Liza are you ok? Where are you?
Is it correct to say lie on me with the idea someone said something untrue about someone

he lied to you about me - correct:
@fredylopez2477

Yeah, the structure is: -Someone lies to (someone else) about (someone or something). Example: - "She lied to HIM about THEM". - "She lied to HIM about THAT BOOK.".
6 days you are absent what happened? I hope you are doing well my lovely teachers
He lied to her. Why is that very good?
the main thing is about the. other ig they undertsand wht u r saying so that's is🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What's the purpose of asking a question or asking to repeat something then for about 3 seconds nodding and looking at the camera awkwardly? it's so annoying, people have a PAUSE button so just move on and don't make the videos unnecessarily longer
