Lawyer: Wikileaks founder shouldn't have been charged with espionage for truthful information | ANC
Soundbytes: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s lawyers hailed his release on Wednesday (June 26) after he pleaded guilty to violating a U.S. espionage law in a deal that allowed him to go home to Australia. Chief U.S. District Judge Ramona V. Manglona accepted Assange’s guilty plea and released him due to time already served in a British jail.

He should sue for compensation! What was done to Julian was despicable! He is not going to get back all those lost years.

Assange needs to be thankful, go home & be quiet.

@ 1:16 , “ The ability to speak truth to power is the very underpinning to our democracy” - Zoe Daniel, Australian politician. Then the contrary is also true: the inability to speak truth to power is the underpinning to our oligarchy. Australia has a fake democracy at best, a corrupt ,treacherous, evil governance at worst. Zoe Daniel dares to “speak truth to power” after Assange is free and agreed to a plea deal. Where were her vocal protests in the Australian government and out in the public forum of during Assange’s 14 year false imprisonment ?
