The program ventures from the most famous comic opera of them all, Il barbiere di Siviglia, through six serious dramatic works: Otello, Armida, La donna del lago, Elisabetta, regina d'Inghilterra, Le Siège de Corinthe, and, the rarest title here, Ricciardo e Zoraide.

Its great to hear the great Irish mezzo soprano Tara Erraught singing so beautifully too.
I had to stop what I was doing at the moment I heard Mr.Brownlee's first note. It's been a while since last time I focused on every single note by artists. Magnificent.

If you have access to the Met On Demand, his performances are fantastic on there. Rossini done like he does it is sublime. The Cenerentola with Garanca is perfection.

Although this clip is part of the Friends/Rivals series of Brownlee and Spyres, its title should have included Erraught also who contributed as much as Brownlee and more than Spyres. Give credit where credit is due.

@Lady Izolde Come on, guys.The album was just released today. This is not the time to turn into insolent high-school teenagers and tease these phenomenal vocal athletes who've worked hard to give us such great art. Respect them.
