Such a great theme song. And what a show from the 1970s and 1980s. I loved watching Laverne and Shirley as a young kid in Arizona even though I had no idea what snow was…

One of the greatest shows in the history of television, especially if you were a kid in the late '70s.

I also, love alot their Theme Sing here too , from Laverne & Shirley . Thank you for all the Laughs Laverne & Shirley. I came to this country in 81 at the age of 5. Probably grew up watching reruns of Happy Days and Laverne and Shirly, but I must say that these shows made the life of a young assimilating refugee a lot more pleasant. To this day the theme songs to these 2 shows still brings back great childhood memories. Thank you Laverne and Shirley for the memories.

Penny Marshall’s passing makes me feel so old. I remember watching this when I was 5 with my mom. Wonderful time. Wonderful show.

Goodbye Cindy Williams. Both gone now. First time ever watching the intro while full on weeping. I'll never forget how much this show meant to me as a little girl with dreams of one day being independent with a best friend to enjoy it with. I still remember imitating the opening steps to this every time I watched the show. Thank you Cindy and Penny.

Best ever. Growing up in 70s, 80s, 90s was best time to be alive. Best shows, best of everything. Im 47 now 😊

RIP Penny Marshall & Cindy Williams. Both passed at age 75 which isn't too old nor too young, but in between there. They're together again on the other side with the Lord. Amen.

The intro now brings me to tears. So powerful those words. It's sad Cindy Williams passed. But this show is a gem; a classic and in that sense she is still here.

I remember watching this show as a kid in the 80s! Gotta like all the shots of them working in a factory, when people actually weren't embarrassed to say that they worked in a factory and took pride in their work!!!

When I was a kid there weren't many shows that made me laugh hard. In addition to Mork & Mindy, Laverne & Shirley was the only other show I connected with like that and still to this day have very fond memories of. So when Penny Marshall died it was like another piece of my childhood died along with her. But I have the laughs to reflect back on and enjoy. Much respect.

Farewell Ms Cindy Williams & so grateful for all the years of laughter you & Ms Penny Marshall brought to the viewers. "Laverne & Shirley" will forever be memorable.

RIP Cindy Williams, she died today at age 75. By her arrival in Heaven, she & Penny Marshall done the opening as the video begins.

Seeing / hearing the theme song both makes me happy and sad. It makes me happy because I watched the show during my prime youngster years (from 11 - 18 yrs old during the show's run) and it reminds me of the care-free days of my childhood. It also reminds me of how the world was much different back then. No, the world was not perfect back then, but back then there was a higher morality, a more family-oriented society and less insanity when compared to today. And also no internet or cellphones to distract us from living life. The reminders of all those things make me happy, but it also makes me sad because those things are not prominent anymore. I'm also of course sad because Cindy Williams is now gone. R.I.P. Cindy... and Penny (Marshall) as well from a few years ago. You are both now reunited.

I don't know many intro songs that touch me like this one.. RIP Ladies 🙏🏾😢... Thanks for the memories ❤

ABC owned Tuesday Nights in the 70's and early 80's. They had a powerhouse lineup: Happy Days at 8p, Laverne and Shirley at 8:30p, Three's Company at 9p, Too Close for Comfort at 9:30p and finishing it off with Hart to Hart at 10p. R.I.P "Laverne and Shirley" aka Penny and Cindy.

I'm still kind of young so I didn't I never had a chance to watch like the original at the time But I do watch the reruns and ever since I was younger with my grandma and It's part of my childhood Finding out The actor is really dyed this morning is so sad But there together in heaven now. And this is a huge part of my childhood and I will always remember this I think everybody will. Never forgotten

Laverne and Shirley back together again! Just heard that Cindy Williams passed away! I grew up watching this very comical show in the 1970's. There was masterful hand in glove between this duo! Cindy as Shirley. And the late Penny Marshall as Laverne! What zany fun and TV memories! RIP Cindy! ⚘️💐❤️

I like the opening from season 1, because it showed more of their lives and that they were really Milwaukee citizens compared to Happy Days that never really gave you the illusions the Cunningham’s were midwestern and more California-like.

The best version of the stroll ever, who knew that there would controversy decades later? LOL

I grew up watching this show in the 70s. It was and continues to be, the best sitcom that ever was. There is something about the (early) shows opening theme song - as well as all the early episodes- that leaves me with a sense of longing and nostalgia as though I have missed out on something that I can't quite put my finger on. When I watch the show and a commercial comes on, I'm immediately pulled back into the present and an uncomfortableness comes over me. When Penny Marshal passed, it was as though a part of my childhood was taken away.
