I live .3 miles from the corner that they’re hanging out at, I can hear the gunshots almost nightly, road rage is common place, drag races, drug fueled screams all night; I can honestly say, this area really is totally F***ed.

I grew up in Laveen and it use to be a awesome place before they build all the track homes. The farm fields are what made Laveen great but they are almost all gone.

Part of the issue is the closeness to the reservation. A lot of these individuals are from Gila River and they come into Phoenix to get their alcohol since it's illegal on the reservation and buy their drugs. The reservation needs to be coordinated with the City and held accountable for their citizens.

Police are hired hands. They do not make policy, they follow orders. Those orders are issued by administrators under the direction of City politicians. Phoenix has a Democrat City government....so why is this story the slightest surprise? It shouldn't be. Vote Democrat and this is the kind of thing you get. You get what you vote for.

When I was a kid my dream was to grow up and become homeless. I always imagined it being like an endless adventure. Hopping trains to random places. Hanging out with people around a campfire. I could never jive with other homeless people though. I hate drug addicts.

homeless people arent drug addicts... Of course some are... I've been homeless since 2018 I've never touched a drug in my life I did drink when I was younger I was only 18 got drunk once and never drank again... The biggest problem right now is rent is crazy high for most people trying to make ends meet in the valley

We get rid of the drug dealers, a large portion of our homeless will leave to follow the drugs

I don’t have much. But I have a homeless pregnant women 15$ the other day. Never thought I’d have to do that…

Why don’t those casino owners help out their people. Selling their people out for riches… again.

It is easy to complain now days, but why do not they open their houses to one or maybe two homeless neighbors, get to know them little bit better, help them little bit till they can get on their own feet. In time of pandemic, patriot Americans always help unfortunate neighbors.

Yeah, so they can do drugs in your house. Smart. That one girl just told us she chose to be homeless. So why would someone tell me to bring them into my home to help them? I choose to work to pay for my responsibilities. I pay taxes and that is used to help these people if they want help. Most don't. So I'll never offer my house to to an undeserving asshole. You can.
