Thanks for this. The model really helped visualize the forces on the truss system and how to counter them.

I wish I would have e seen this video 2 weeks ago. I got 60ft trusses from my local truss company. They did not come with diagrams like what you have. A big wind storm and my 60ft trusses look just like your video.i did not put upper diagonal bracing under my top cord on my trusses. I had came up with a repair similar to what yall came up with. It was a little bit of work but it us doing the job.

If im building square and level I would think that I’d be fine installing bracing permanently as I go. I’m setting 44’ Attic Trusses next week on 10’ 2x8 walls. Room is only 20’ deep by 44’ wide. Looks like it’s about the same scale as your model but I’ve got Attic Trusses where the middle section for the 2nd floor is 12’ wide x 20’. Going with all three directions on the bracing per the design specs and this video. Will be using true 2x4 rough sawn spruce off my mill for my bracing. Using 16 nails and a 5” structural screw to attach the bracing to the trusses. Going to temporarily shore up under the attic portion. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
