This is great because when Amy tells the driver to stop the carriage for Laurie he's wearing the red scarf just like in 'all to well' the red scarf symbolizes the person who loved the narrator and how they're still learning to let go. which exactly was what Laurie was trying to do at that time.

Laurie loved jo to early and realized sooner or later after the rejection from jo that amy was the one for him. Jo never actually like love loved him she realized she would be lonely so she wanted him back but amy did love jo for as long as she could remember

Yep. And I think they could be switched around, too Amy and Jo for champagne prblem's chorus / and then Laurie's POV for when he loved Amy but she didnt want to pursue him.

I will never choose with whom I prefer him. I just know that with Jo he was a child, could be crazy, funny etc. and with Amy he was a man, not a boy, more mature, more adult. Jo made him able to have fun, be young and wild but Amy was able to made him become a man.

I think the real him is the one who with amy.Yes , they are good together with jo but not like a couple in my opinion.I feel amy and he are soul mates but jo and he are not.

I just love Amy so much. She had the best character development. Jo was always stubborn and… I don’t know. I mean, I do understand her character and feelings : being a woman was hard during that period. Jo wanted to fight and live her own life. But she was kind of… I don’t know, bitter? While Amy embraced it and tried to make the best out of it. Marriage was the identity of women which is pretty sad. I will definitely be Jo in real life, but I don’t, Florence Pugh won my heart with that performance.

As a person who identifies with Jo I can say that she didnt't feel good enough for Laurie and not only for him, we can see that she also didn't felt good enough to write an excellent book but when she realizes that, that's when she understands that she doesn't want to live alone, she really wanted to marry someone but all her life she deny it because she didn't wanted to be like all the women of that period, she didn't want to marry someone because she thought that when she marry someone, she would never be free. Then she understand that if you really love someone, you can be free and happy and that's what she wants.

disagree!!!!! amy was the worst. amy conformed and didn’t even make the best of it becayse she rejected Fred. she should have never married laurie. she spent her whole life hurting Jo, and Jo had to endure all of the hardships of her family and never felt good enough for any of it

i highly recommend the book. jo is the greatest literary character in existence and perfectly encapsulates what it is to be a woman and be a human. the story is perfect.

I think even if jo accepted Laurie they wouldn't have made it till end because both of them are too proud to back down and their love for each other is wayyy different than the love between a couple

Well the story is about a family with four sisters: Meg, Beth, Jo, Amy and Jo is the main lead. Jo is a confident, independent one with her writing talent and in the end she became a writer (she wrote this story). Meg is the first person out of 4 sis married. Beth loved playing piano and had talent 4 it but unfortunately she had a disease and passed away, which made a big effect to Jo. Amy had a chance to go to France and studied art there because she agreed to marry a rich guy. But Amy quite hated Jo because the one she had a crush on, Laurie, loved Jo instead of her. However, Jo turned out to reject Laurie and when he still suffered for that in France, he met Amy again and loved her while Jo found someone else in America. The three in this vid are Laurie, Amy and Jo. At first Amy rejected Laurie because (the last scene in the video) but dont worry they ended up together.

Jo wanted to be a free bird, she was afraid of marriages because that's all girls were fit for according to that time. She wanted to be different and independant, and I really think Laurie and her would be a disaster if they ended together.

Jo might have been to parties that Amy didn't get to have or spend more time with lauriel in childhood but Amy got jo's man (therefore have money and safety net), the tour to europe, better lifestyle when exploring her ambition as painter. Lovely balance between two sisters.

they did, but with different people. when jo regretted saying no to laurie, it was out of desperation. she cared more to be loved, and her mother told her taht is not the same as loving. Jo was always right, they wouldve made a disaster in marriage. theyre still as close as ever and happier with their spouses

i believe that they both did. Teddy and Jo constantly fight, they aren’t couple worthy. I also always interpreted the new version of the movie that Jo didn’t marry. the clip of her in the rain was just the end of her book and not real life. She never wished to marry and so she didn’t. that’s her happy ending. Amy and laurie always liked eachother. laurie even when amy was a brat and amy when laurie was a total mess.
