As a believer in Christ, it's actually refreshing to hear a pop song from a Christian artist that could easily be played on a mainstream station. It sounds like a classic hit from the past (reminiscent of Carole King). I don't know why people are misinterpreting what this song is about. This is simply a song about having moved on from the past, but also about longing to reconnect with a place that one has never really forgotten, a place that is still near and dear despite how challenging reconnecting with it has become. St. Ferdinand is a town, or even a wild district in a town, that the singer is recalling affectionately. It's not worship or churchy in any way. And that's fine. Nothing wrong with replacing the junk in the world's pop charts with some uplifting, positive pop music. Thank you, Lauren Daigle for this remarkably sweet song!

The whole album feels like this to me. Like it’s not preachy or beats you over the head with it. Just weaves in Christian themes. I love it

Saint Ferdinand, not what I planned - it's just like in my situation. I hadn't planned to live where I live now, in Poland, but I had to move as a refugee because of the war in Ukraine. And I don't know how long I will stay here... No matter what, I praise God for everything.

Praying for you dear one. God watch over you and give you courage to follow Him. Our God is the God of your faith, but our relationship was damaged when Abraham doubted God would keep His promise to give he and Sarah a child, and Hagar was used and Ishmael neglected. Despite the circumstances of Ishmael's birth, God ALWAYS intended for all the people He created to make it back home when He makes this earth and heavens new again. In Romans 11 of the New Testament of the Bible, it is explained way better than I could. Israel was the priestly people charged with telling the rest of us God wants to be with us again, but anyone who chooses to join God's family are like branches grafted onto a fruit tree. I am one of those branches, and you can be too! God loves you too! Would love to have you join us! Jesus offers all of us people forgiveness for our sins so we can be adopted back into His family.

I’m 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My baby gets active and worships with me every single time I play this. I’m going to play this on repeat in my delivery room, as I could not think of a better time to worship and praise God.

This singer is a blessing from God….! Thank you Lauren for finding fulfillment and sharing it with brothers and sisters!

this song hasn’t even been out for 24 hours and it already means so much to me! I don’t know if this is what you wrote the song about, but to me this song is about the beauty of a hard journey and holding on to your faith through the struggle. The lyrics “these streets may not look pretty but I see angels walking in the city” and “I see smiles under street lights instead of chaos in the night” is like seeing the ways the hardest times in your life have changed you for the better. To other people, the journey might just look like an unnecessarily difficult time, but you get to see the ways God has touched your life (hence the angels walking in the city). Also, our faith is our wonderland/safe place during the journey. There’s always more to learn about how amazing God is, and we are always invited to keep learning. And even though times change, our faith is our firm and unchanging foundation. Going through difficult times is never something we plan for, but the challenges we face teach us to stand firm in our faith. Anyway, Lauren, I just wanna say thank you for this beautiful song and album! I’m so proud of you and super duper excited to see where this new era takes us!! You and your whole team are so amazing! Such a wonderful interpretation. Got to see Lauen and Natalie up close in Nashville last week playing this song and having fun with it. Its amazing how her songs are like parables. So many meanings from the same words. She and Natalie have the reason they wrote but what they love is how we interpret it and how it effects us

I know the feeling of every word to this song but instead of giving up or giving in to temptation I decided to fight and not be with anyone until my lord Jesus Christ puts the right woman in my path it might not be soon but I know deep in my heart he will make it happen

This makes me think of my situation with my health. I am 19 with two chronic illnesses. I got told yesterday I tested positive for a type of arthritis on top of having gastroperisis. A few years before this I was doing 13 activities a week on top of school like it was no problem. Then when I started thinking about what’s after high school and looking into studying abroad I start to really get sick. I missed 113 days of my senior year and I had to pretty much quite all my activities on top of it. But I always found the positive. I live in music because it makes everything better when I am down I learn to sew, crochet, and knit. I am a strange person to therapist that I have meet for mental health check and to the people around me. Everyone doesn’t understand why I did not crack and get depressed with everything. This song just makes me think of that. My friend with gastroperisis introduced me to you and I am thankful to her for doing so. She explained how you struggle with your health too. Your story give me hope and your music gives me comfort. Thank you.

God can heal. He healed me of arthritis and ulcers. He loves you just as much. If you are afraid He will say no, please know, many people assume this so they never ask, though He is right there waitinng to help. No matter how He answers, asking is an act of faith He can reward. Do not be afraid to ask Him for help with anything. Lord, would You please heal this dear young believer as You healed me? To their good and Your credit! In Jesus's name, amen

It's about longing for a place you used to know, a place you miss, but now you're somewhere else (far away from St. Ferdinand).

Then he asked me what I thought of Lauren Daigle as my Queen. I gave Him the same celebrity's name every night for about six months until He said ok and then I got a sign from the Universe that said Since this is out of "true love" IT SHALL BE. I waited around for 5 years so far without dating anyone. I have been working on my relationship with God.
