Tony Geary is an authentic and warm -hearted playing actor! He and Genie playing as when they are really together out off the soap!❤ They fits together forever!👍

Proof possible that Genie is a fantastic actress! Emmy winning performance! Bravo!

Phenomenal actors, Luke's face as a much older man looks young when he looks at Laura, love makes you young, what an incredible actor, so very real, I love these two, beautiful people!

These few weeks with Laura back really made me cry. I was so sad when she left again. This is what made me watch GH again. Gennie was really convincing in this role.

When Luke see's that Laura is awake, the light in his eyes is just amazing. Bring back Laura.

luke and laura = the supercouple of all supercouples!!!

This is why these two won their Emmy awards.

In my mind LnL are forever. You cannot watch this and tell me he ever quit loving her. LnL Forever ♥️

Amazing how 34 years after Luke & Laura helped General Hospital top daytime tv viewing records, seeing Genie Francis smile in this clip made me travel back in time and still manage to elicit some tears...Oh how I miss the '80's. Thanks for this clip.

Yes. I'm still upset no recognition on the recent anniversary. 😒 Seeing them as an older couple would have been interesting.

i loved Luke's eyes and reaction when Laura said "Luke". He said "Is it You?" It was so believeable and heart-wrenching. When she saw the kids,especially Lulu for the first time was so sad. Some of the best and saddest scenes ever.Bring Laura back!!

this was an excellent scene! the mental breakdown storyline was more realistic than all the other laura disappearance stories. great editing here. was so scared when she realized lulu is all grown up. i cried too! i didn't want her to go back into that coma. i kept saying calm down laura to the screen! lol.

From what I have read, TG became very tired of LnL and Luke as an individual character. After almost 40 years of playing Luke, I can't really blame him for wanting to move on. But he did have script approval privileges, and I think some of his input was self-serving.

@@amandaburnham8124 It could be she remembers "shushing" everyone, as in her family, when this episode came on so that she could see Genie's return. Not saying that's what she meant, but that's what I took it to mean.

Wow, just WOW !

I don't blame TG for wanting to do something else, or nothing- he's older after all. But after so many years of success, such loyalty from fans of L&L, I'm disappointed he couldn't just leave honoring the fans of their story- die a hero saving her or the kids, instead of becoming a drunk gigolo and ruining it for everyone. Nobody buys a bit of the entire story. Such a shame.

I missed this storyline because I had a couple of deaths in my family. I wish someone would fill me in briefly on why Laura had a breakdown. Aside from that that woman is totally beautiful, with or without any make up. They were the quintessential couple. Great acting on both Genie and Anthony. The ironic thing is that during that year because of the deaths I had a breakdown. One of the best GH scenes I ever saw.

His voice softens, his eyes get more concerned and loving, he gazes at her for longer periods of time. It has been said in the past that Laura is Luke's humanity, and the moment you point to reflects that greatly.

It wasn't an accident. But, if you go to Sussezq's channel and her playlist of Luke and Laura 2001, you will see the event that unfolded that get us here to this part of their story. Not gonna spoil it here for you if you haven't found it yet!

@@janetmyles8764 I do not disagree! I believe there is a way they could have tied that Helena's involvement better on this storyline than they actually did. Considering she tormented Laura when Laura was kidnapped in the 80s, it could be easily said that mind control/drugging Laura back then caused her to continue to have a mental/chemical imbalance - much like Lesley on her return. Luke and Laura could have then worked on finally ridding themselves of this nemesis on another adventure, rather than having Laura go catatonic again. This would have appeased all of us LnL fans much better, and kept Genie on the show.

@@betsykeller9096 Laura's wedding dress was tampered with,and her engagement ring went missing.Helena could have easily gotten to Laura too!!The riddle she gave Nicolas was about Laura.Something like when the Sun turns to the dark of the Moon and doesn't return.They would have to solve the riddle or it would be too late.

She didn't go comatose on the show. That was an offscreen development. Luke snuck in to see her, against Nicholas' wishes, and she screamed at seeing him and went comatose.

So why bring her back at all for such a short time, just to disrupt the show and mess with everybody's emotions? Did Genie want a new summer home, or owe some gambling debt? I got over Laura the first time she bailed.

Blame Tony Geary. He didn't want to be tied to Luke and Laura storylines. Genie has too much class to be honest about the situation and put Tony in a bad light. She is a regular on the show now. Tony decided to retire and move to Amsterdam.

I watched the rape scene, and definitely thought what Luke did was wrong terrible , but I think he loved her but didn’t know how to express it.
