My family was stationed there from 1993-1997. My siblings and I always say our fondest memories of growing up military brats , was living on this base . Our dad was Texas national guard so he worked at the base in eagle pass . When I randomly saw this on my KZread , I immediately clicked !! This brought back such joyful memories. I'm so glad to see this! We are moving to Laughlin next month sight unseen. Ashleigh, when you say dinner plates don't fit in the kitchen cupboards, what did you find worked for you? I don't even have all the closets you do. The height of the shelves is kind of crazy too!

All the cup lards except one were too slim. So we had no choice but to put them in the one that they did fit in. My husband was able to get one of the shelves out so we at least have one cupboard for taller items!

@@AshleighAurora we have floorplan D, and I am hoping we have at least one cupboard that will work for the dinner plates. Our floorplan SAYS it has a pantry, but it is in the hallway BEHIND the kitchen, and looks deep enough for one row of cans deep, and I envision cereal boxes having to lay on their side. They have no business calling it a pantry. I seriously have pantry envy over yours! I did hear your husband mention pliers when you were talking about the shelf 'clips'. Thanks for your input! You are right... no one has videos of their Laughlin base houses, so I appreciate yours!

@@AshleighAurora oh ok, haha good. Carpet in a bathroom is gross haha linoleum sucks but it’s better than carpet in a bathroom.

I’ve heard stories of roach infestations how true are they I’ll be heading over in September

No roach infestations for us. We do get other bugs and a few scorpions finding their way in sometimes but housing is good at responding to for bug issues.

Laughlin housing is horrible for thr price they charge. No reason anyone should pay $400 above their BAH for this.

Hi, so actually they way military housing works, is that housing rent is set to the amount you’d get for BAH. You don’t pay more than your BAH.
