I love this latte look. I used to tell people all the time they could do a whole make-up look with only browns. For some reason people didn't believe it so I would show them how beautiful it could be by doing their face in a wide range of browns from warm to cool, matte or shimmer, including eyeliner and mascara. This video sparked a few memories for me ... When I was doing hair and make-up for photoshoots in my youth I would get a whole bunch of the colors of those cheap lipsticks like wet and wild and use them to mix in with blush, shadow, lips, bronzers etc to be able to create any color I needed for whatever was happening at the time and it worked really well to give me the versatility I needed. I used to work for Este Lauder and I never was a fan of doublewear or their make-up in general, their skincare however was top notch (of course this was years ago). One time when I worked for Prescriptives a woman came up to get makeup with a controlling husband who had some ludicrous retro belief that women should not wear blush (I think because it was considered whorish). I had to run interference and convince him so that she could take the blush that she wanted with everything else SMH

You are spot on with the blush. The point of blush is to mimic the natural flush and color of the skin. The shade you chose blended in better than I thought it would! A 7:53 ny warm/golden peachy shade of blush is perfection, or something that resembles a flush with the warm undertones (like your shade). I think the basics of the look are luminous skin with highlight, diffused bronzer all over the face as contour, bronze eyes with lighter inner corners. Glossy lips. Mostly monochromatic. Of all the tutorials I’ve watched, yours was the best!

Looks good on you. Wouldn't look good on someone like me who has cool undertones and anything with warm tones makes me look sick or dead.

You would just have to adjust your tonal family a little bit so you’re using cooler based browns and less orange-based tones. I have a cool brown from MAC that I use on my cool clients that actually looks very beautiful. You can also add some rose-pinks too. I guess it would change the vibe of the makeup slightly but still feel very summery.

I’m a blond “light summer” so I have pink undertones rather than yellow…I’m trying to adjust the latte look with lighter colors but I do have the Nars products you highlight and they have been working even on my skin tone (and a little self tanner!). Thanks, great videos always😊

I skip blush if I'm wearing a strong red lipstick, otherwise it looks a bit red-red overkill on me. I loved your idea of using the contour stick as added eyeshadow! I will definitely try that!

I need some blush too, Gabi. I have at least a dozen blush options and always stopping myself from buying every blush I see. I did this look yesterday except I am a fair neutral graying brunette. I just adjusted the tones to fit my complexion. Used the NYX Wonderstick Contour in Universal with a lighter hand. Perfect for my light skin and looks like I had been in the sun. I used the DIOR rosey glow pink blush. My complexion looked so youthful. Used cool browns on my eyes with a soft satiny light pink blended from inner corner to mid lid. For lips Essence has a line called “This is Nude” in a wide range of browns with pink or peach undertones. Many of these shades are like my lips but better on me and perfect for this vibe. And the quality is quite good. So fun, I am going to do it again today and I seldom wear makeup two days in a row. Lol.

The monochromatic look reminds me very much of that time period, except we get to have eyebrows this time. 😊 I have cool skintone, so I use less golden colours, but it still works. Love this!!! I have a hair related question. Do you think the keratin treatment ultimately damages already thinning hair? I’m in my 50’s and dealing with hair loss, but also a yucky dry looking frizz mess. I love the shine from karatin, but wonder if it ultimate damages it like perms in the olden days. In my 50s. If I had to keep either blush, bronzer or highlight, I would without question choose blush! My skin is so fair that if I just kept the other two, I would look crazy. Blush brings colour back to the face 😊

I am in need of so much help! I’m trying to learn how to do my make up & it’s far from fun. My eyes are so hooded that the skin goes back & forth with the brush u can’t see the shadow because of the hood. Yup for sure but you may need to adjust your tones a little to suit your skin. If you look up Latte Makeup in tiktok, you will see lots of fair skin girls doing it
