The Chinese loved him and he woke up with 600 million Weibo fans after his first performance on this show. He always get met at the airport by his fans and they look after him, decorate his dressing rooms, give him gifts, flowers and food. He really is loved by all us Dears 💖 it's a shame you were shouting all over the staccato in his high part. Nah. 'Singer' *is* a competition show. I've heard that Dimash did not win; that honor went to a Chinese singer. It's a Chinese show, can't have Kazakh singers beating local artists, can we? But Dimash is the competitor who emerged to massive world fame, whose videos from the show went viral. The others are still regional performers. Good, but not at Dimash's level. Who *is* at his level? No-one. I mean, there are singers who can match him in specific techniques and registers, singers whose art is wonderful and worthy of our admiration, but none who can match him across all of his techniques and registers. He's a once-in-a-century singer. Another of his songs from 'Singer 2017' that pleases me (well, they all do, but this one more than most) is 'Adagio,' which is Lara Fabian's creation based on an older classical piece. (Dimash is known to admire Lara and, later, actually performed with her.) The first English language song I heard from him was 'All By Myself,' also from the 'Singer' show, and that one stirs my emotions, too. But his later songs are even better. 'Sinful Passion' will knock your socks off. 'Love Is Like a Dream' is simply beautiful, and wholly satisfying. There are more. If you're determined to review all of his work from 'Singer' forward, you've got a lot of reaction videos to make! (I hope you will.)

На конкурсе как раз голосовали зрители, а не жюри. Димаш, конечно, быстро завоевал популярность, особенно среди молодых, но певица, которая победила, в Китае просто икона. Если вы смотрели эпизоды полностью, то заметили, что они ее называли богиней. Она настолько почитаема в Китае, можно сравнить с Бейонсе в Америке. К тому же разрыв был небольшой, так что он почти победил.

Hello! I like your comments very much 🙂 About Dimash and Singer competition you should know that he was invited as a wild card 3 years ago and surprised every one, but finished second. The stunned peoples from the video are his competitors 🙂 Best way to discover him is to see the songs chronologically, but be carefull to strikes when reacting to the songs from the Singer competition. Love your reactions! Can you keep doing the "I am a Singer" performances in order? I'm really enjoying this. No. It really was an actual competition but it was also among established Chinese singers. There were no judges but the audience of 500 people voted. And the one with the lowest vote would go home. So they all wanted to stay and perform so it was a real competition. It wasn't cutthroat but they all wanted to do good. Dimash was not Chinese and he wasn't an established singer. He only had won a few competitions like the Slavic Bazaar and competitions in Kazakhstan. The producer for the show "I am a Singer" saw him in a competition and asked him to join his show as an experiment. Dimash didn't speak a word of Chinese coming into that competition. He had to rely on an interpreter his whole stay in China. Dimash did not win but he did come in second. But this exposure on Chinese television made him an instant sensation in China. It really rocketed his career. So watching his journey and growth throughout the entire "I am a Singer" competition is extremely interesting. There is a bunch of behind-the-scenes stuff too that is really great too. There's one part where he visits the editing studio to watch them edit his performance and then there's a part where he meets Jackie Chan and he's a bit of a fanboy toward Jackie Chan and then there's a really touching sequence showing how one week he got sick and lost his voice. It's a good series. But even if you just do the songs it's worth it. I hope you continue! Thanks!

@@julieh.700 You actually put 'completion' instead of 'competition' 4 other times in your post. But we get what you mean. :D I saw footage of when he met Jackie Chan - so sweet. And you're right he must have been thankful for the recognition he gained from even appearing on the show. They put him amongst Chinese music legends, and he held his own and even won over the viewers.

Dimash is on another level by himself. Tengri won that season and he is amazing in his own right. Tengri is older, the favorite, and was asked to do the show many times but he turned it down. So when he finally did it, it was obvious he was going to get the crown. Watch Tengri’s “Heaven”. It’s unbelievable.

Sandy Lam won Singer 2017, the season Dimash participated in the show. Tengri (Tengger) participated on Singer 2018. Jessie J won the competition, and Tengri came in fourth that year. Tengri is another singer I listen to a lot.

@@kartinihanitio6010 Димашу просто приглушили микрофон в последнем эпизоде, когда он пел с победительницей дуэтом. Об этом возмущались китайские Диарс. Сам Димаш никогда не комментировал, он вообще избегает любых конфликтов. Я поэтому никогда не пересматриваю 14 эпизод, он нечестный. Разница с первым местом 0,18 бала.

@@toqtarzhakash7910 есть люди - билингвы. По-русски двуязычные. Когда человек владеет двумя языками идеально, с детства, он может на них общаться, думать, читать, писать и т. д. Он понимает скрытые смыслы, юмор, знает идиомы, непонятные для иностранцев. Ну как-то так =) Конечно его самый родной язык казахский. И мы все знаем, что он прекрасно говорит на нем, казахи не раз отмечали именно высокое качество его интервью, писали о том, как приятно его слушать. То же самое с русским =) Можете назвать русский язык двоюродным, если вам так приятнее. У меня племянники билингвы, я считаю, что у них два родных языка и две родные культуры. Помимо выученного третьего языка (у Димаша их еще два как минимум). Из словаря: родной - 1. Находящийся в кровном родстве по прямой линии. 2. перен. Близкий по духу, привычкам и убеждениям с кем-либо; свой.

А так как это бывшая республика СССР, то 100% взрослых людей хорошо знают русский язык, так как учили в школе и разговаривают на нем в быту. Это как с татарским языком в Татарии, чувашским в Чувашии и т.д. Так что для Димаша можно смело сказать 2 родных языка!
