I don't understand why people in the United States (mainly blacks and/or sjw) get offended and call it cultural appropriation when artists take things and pay tribute to it, while Latinos and basically the rest of the world are the opposite because it's nice when people like things from your culture, plus that way it gives it more exposure so people can know more about it and take it into account in a positive way.

first and foremost don’t refer to african american people as blacks. that’s first off and , me being from both sides ( hispanic culture , and black culture ) i can 100 percent tell you the reason why we get so offended by cultural appropriation is because we have been mocked and ridiculed for our looks since the beginning of time , but when someone that is not black uses it , it becomes praised. black people would wear durags in public and get called “ghetto” but when someone that isn’t black , it’s urban. another thing that doesn’t apply to all , is that some celebrities are down right disrespectful when it comes to cultural appropriation and at times , it gets tiring having to explain to everyone why wearing braids , durags , using music influenced by us is cultural appropriation. not trying to be rude just trying to explain ❤️

just because someone likes a certain type of music that doesnt mean they are of a nationality or ethnicity. i could say i like kpop and make music that is in korean and has similar types of beats and rhythms but that doesnt make me Korean
