Can you have development under the canopy of war??? You don’t think before commenting!! Why do you think there’s peace in Ghana?? Otumfuo spends his time building sustainable peace which is the foundations for development. Which investor will invest in a war torn region??? It is because of past wars that’s why northern Ghana is still underdeveloped. Next time think before commenting.

Ghana is a sovereign democratic state. We have a president who is the overall custodian of the country, Ghana. We are not a kingdom, and that is the reason why he is addressed as Asantehene. Ohene is chief. In effect, the Asantehene is under the laws of country Ghana. In Ghana, respect is accorded to all chiefs, even the village ones. As such, we all respect whoever is a chief in various communities of our societies/country. If we want to understand what a kingdom is, then study the one in Great Britain and other parts of the world. In such cases, the prime minister or voted leaders swears oath of allegiance to the king. They are subordinates to the king. This is not the case in Ghana. As such, there is no king. The Ashantis can, however, categorize their chief as a "king". The Ashantis can have their kingdom and who cares. If you want to understand the hierarchal order of chieftaincy in Ghana, then visit out the constitution and the blueprint that governs the national house of chiefs. Thank you.

He is a king for the Ashantis and no other tribes in Ghana. The Voltarians, Akyems, Northerners, Gas, Brongs, and others have their paramount chiefs. The Asantehene is one of them. He is part of the national house of chiefs but not part of the democratic ruling body of sovereign Ghana. Thank you.

What is your educational background? Even the Europeans knew Asante as a kingdom before democracy, if Asantes recognized him as a King what's your problem with it? It is respect so do what pleases you but don't try to lecture us cos Google recognizes him as a King🙏. We like the ancient way of democracy mano asi.
