Latest kick ass AMC 401 build by AZ AMC Restorations.
This is a pretty nice build. Forged Wiseco pistons, K1 rods, our own in house design pedestal roller rockers we engineered for Scorpion, Torker intake, (soon to be) Holley 670 Avenger carb, Edelbrock 7132 cam, Headman headers (not installed for break in), 1 piece stainless intake and exhaust valves, double roller timing set, fully balanced rotating assembly and fully blueprinted assembly plus blueprinted oiling system with enhanced oil drain back in the block and heads. It should scoot right along in the 74 Javelin AMX it is intended for.

Sweet engine! I wish there was more AMC content on the 'tube. I have a CJ5 with a slightly modded 304 which I love but I've always wondered what it would be like to drop in a 401.

I just landed an all original & complete 401 for my CJ5. It was hard to find in fact the guy actually messaged me on the forums about it. Im excited to tear into it and build it.

You would love it! The low and mid range tq on those is outstanding. Have forged cranks too, wont break it!
My buddy had a built 401 in his 71 Javelin AMX. Never dyno'd but damn it was strong. I drag raced him in my C3 Vette set up for B Production road race. I beat him by a nose hair because he was burning rubber all the way down the road. Next round he easily beat me.

Dan do you build for other people, l have a AMC 360 I would love to have built buy someone who knows the the tricks. I live in Prescott. Thank you

Yes. We build engines for people all around North America and even in Europe. BTW, I have a house in Prescott as well
