I’ve been lucky to know Cher for 40 years. And she is a warm, wonderful person. And yes, shy. I regret not ever having the opportunity to meet Sonny. He seems like a really sweet guy. Rest his soul. 🙏

I've seen a lot of interviews on KZread with Sonny Bono & you can tell he really likes people & enjoys talking to them. When he & Cher were doing their show in the 1970's, he would frequently jump off stage during their banter & mingle some with the audience before jumping back up on stage. I read an interview that Cher did in November 2018 where she is promoting her Broadway play "The Cher Show". The interviewer asked her about all the men she been with over the years & she said that the one she misses & loves the most is Sonny & that "if he were to walk through that door right now, we would be Sonny & Cher in about 2 seconds" . I thought that was pretty cool of Cher to still have good thoughts of him even 21 years after his death.

@@jeffreyzeiss1326 As both of them have said, they had a relationship that no one will ever understand & that they didn't really understand themselves. There are a lot of interviews on YT with them, both singularly & together, where they did say nice things about each other after the divorce & if one had a problem; all they had to do was pick up the phone & the other would be there. There's a lot of videos on YT that you can research of their after divorce comments including The Mike Douglas Show, Dinah, The Tonight Show, etc. where they are nice to each other. My original comment wasn't a Sonny vs. Cher because I'm of the era of Sonny & Cher. I just wanted it known that Cher, in various interviews over the last several decades & shown on YT, also talked good about him too and not just after his death.

This looks like the pilot. Wow, what he says about functioning as a pair and becoming an individual and the auto-professionalism of the performer is really insightful.

Ladies and Gentlemen Mayor Salvatore Phillip Bono! 👏👏👏 (Big Audience Applause Break) Congratulations on your big win Mayor Bono! Now, let me spend the rest of the 28 minutes I have with you asking you questions about Cher and Sonny & Cher and The Sonny & Chair Show, that went off the air a decade ago... It's fun to see the Legacy Media has not changed a wink in over 50 years. The Beat Goes On is right, indeed. The same beat that many fell asleep to a long time ago. The alarm is ringing. When will people wake up? ☮❤😊☯️

He became a good looking celebrity and he cheated on her all the time. He just couldn't stop. Then he tried to take all the money they made instead of dividing it. She was really hurt and mad and I'm sure that's what motivated her behavior.

ogosh, he's totally lying. Cher and Chaz have said that he always had women on the side, many women, and he's surprised? He had no idea of the divorce until the very day Cher told him? C'mon, that's malarkey.

Sonny was a domineering partner! And serial cheater!!! With their renewed success, came the same negative behavior patterns that were often seen in Sonny during their album selling days. Cher felt unable to control anything in the relationship, as her husband returned more and more to his domineering and controlling ways and bulldozed her with his decision making. The fame seemed to get into his head and he believed that their success had more to do with his actions than hers. His constant womanizing, cheating, and controlling took its toll and Cher finally called it quits. In an interview Cher was asked if she left him for someone else, to which she replied “l left Sonny for another woman, myself “.
