WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

The Bible was sooo prissy. I lay down with my two brothers when we were kids and shared a bed but we didn't fuck. Why can't the New New New New Testament Version 10.22 just say that instead of saying "If a man lies with a man as a woman, except as he would with a lesbian, and engages in anything more risque than back-slapping when he's really drunk, then he shall be spanked, except if the spanker is a Catholic priest, and furthermore shall not be strangely costumed unless he is the Pope." @Dr. Ben Chode Well "Dr" Chode, an intelligent person could see that I was taking the piss out of the irrational and dogmatic drivel from the bibble. Compare that with the crap about eating shellfish, mixed fabric clothing and gathering twigs on the sabbath etc etc. Now shall we start on the Ark on Mt Ararat? It's a geological formation, and that may give you a warning..

Dorth Surreal idiots believe in an evil wicked dictating tyrant who they call god. I know of no one who has read the bible word by word, page by page and not skipping around that has remained a christian. All the people I know who have read the bible like I did are atheists. People who cannot accept reality are weaklings and kept in the dark by christianity. Wake up church read your bible word for word from front to back and don’t skip around because your feelings are hurt. Talking snake? Bull shit. Global flood? Bull shit. Men raising from the dead? Bull shit. The holy bible? Bull shit. The bible was written by smart rich people to control poor dumb people.

I remember someone asking a Catholic priest about Noah's ark, they asked if all animals were held on the ark, the priest replied yes, they then asked how could Noah feed 2 panda's. The class was perplexed about this question, the priest replied yes of course all God's animals were on the ark. They then asked how this could be possible, the priest asked why would we doubt God. The kid then said panda's can only digest bamboo and eat approx 30lb of the stuff a day which after 150 (or so days), this would require about 4500lb (22.5 ton)of bamboo per animal. The kid was kicked from class, last time I believed a priest.

Bravo! There's also the problem of survival of the honeybees. A male and a female honeybee is a useless concept. They mate once, the heroic male having done his supreme best for his sisters, dies from the violence of transferring his total haploid load of sperm and now even if she's a "kosher" animal, this queen needs more than six servitors to get the nectar from the drownded flowers anyway, for her sustenance.

For the panda thing and similar quandaries, the follow-up I most often hear is that there were at least two specimens of "bear-kind" on the ark and the differentiation into the modern species of bear would have happened post-flood since many of these nutters do allow for evolution and speciation as long as creatures don't change from one "kind" to another.

I lived for 14 years in a quite beautiful part of Northern Ireland, a place then sorely tried by two variants of religion and patriotism. But a very few years ago, the elected Lord Mayor of Belfast was an atheist Woman, so I have quite high hopes. But see Wikipedia on Garret Fitzgerald, who tried to reduce the tendency which caused the Protestant majority of "Ulster" to say that "Home Rule is Rome Rule". The then reigning Pope visited Fitzgerald and told him that the Irish Republic was one of those most faithful to Catholicism, and he didn''t want Irish laws based upon Catholic prohibitions lessened.

That's why we have warring sects. I last saw my father, in the Royal Victoria Hospital, on the day that just happened to be the funeral in a nearby part of Belfast. He'd had a heart attack. A Protestant "loyalist", figuring that it would be a Good Deed to murder some Catholics mourning the deaths of the three IRA terrorists, did indeed kill three of the mourners, and I'm not sure how many he injured. My dad learning of this, advised me and my American wife not to delay in leaving the city, parts of which were burning as we drove away.

I am British and the British Iron Age started from around 800BC until the Roman’s conquered, then it switches from the Iron Age to the Roman Period/ Roman Britain. But we’re only talking technicalities as Noah was said to have built the arc in around 4000BC. So it was at the point where we were transitioning from the Stone Age to the Bronze Age.

We have 50% of the DNA of a banana....so did we evolve from that! Come on you say you use logic and reason and need evidence....now millions of people life change when they did what the BIBLE said....i was on my way to kill some people when i found GOD. Real christianity spread love and truth. Hope you allow GOD into your heart befor you die. So much evidence.... Prophecies that been fulfilled, B.C (befor CHRIST) & A.D (after death) the world recognize JESUS CHRIST as GOD. Stop being foolish and be real with yourself.examples of The Bible bein true. (theres so many more a couple of hundred of them) 1. The Earth free float in space affected only by gravity what other sources at that time declares Earth sat on a back of a elephant or turtle or held up by atlas in Job26:7 it says " Hes stretches out the North over empty space he hangs Earth on nothing" 2. creation Is made of particles, indiscernible to our eyes (Hebrews 11:3) Night in till the 19th century was it discovered that all visible matter consist of invisible elements. 3. The Bible makes a specifies perfect dimensions For a stable water vessel (Genesis 6:15) Ship builders today are well aware that the idea of dimensions for ship stable ability is a length 6 times that of his width. Which God told Noah 4,500 years ago. 4. Ocean contains Springs the ocean is very deep almost all the ocean floor is in total darkness in (JOB38:16) GOD says " Have you entered does Springs of the sea or have you walk in search of the depths" This chapter God is talking to Job and showing his omnipotent and telling Job does he know these things. Now it would have been impossible for job to explore the Springs of the sea in 1970 With the help of deep diving research summariness that were constructed to withstand 6000 pounds per square inch pressure, oceanorgaphers discovered springs on the ocean floor. God said this! How is that possible? 5. There are mountains on the bottom of the ocean floor. In (Jonah 2:5-6) God says " The water surrounds me even to my soul the deep closes in around me, weed were wrapped around my hand I went down to the moorings of the mountains. The Earth with its bars closed behind me forever. yet you have brought me up my life from the pit or Lord my God" this is when Jonah was in the ocean in the fish belly. Sounds crazy!!! But how did Jonah know there was mountains?. 6. Our bodies are made from dust of the ground in Genesis 2:7 and 3:19 God created us from dust. Scientists have discovered that the human body is compromised of some 28 base and trace elements all on which are found in the Earth. Visit: the elements of periodic table sorted by their presence in human body. 7. Blood is the source of life and health. Leviticus 17:11,14. Up until 120 years ago sick people were bled and many died as a result example George Washington today we know that healthy blood is necessary To bring life giving nutrition to every cell in the body. God declared that life of the flesh is in the blood long before science understood is function. 8. God-created life according to its kind Genesis 1:24. The fact that God distinguish kinds agrees were what scientists observe namely that there horizontal genetic boundaries beyond which life cannot vary. Ex: dog, cats, flowers,(roses) produce its kind. Evolution suppose the opposit there are truly natural limits to biological changes. 9. Origin of the rainbow explained in Genesis 9:13-16. God gave the rainbow as a sign to never flood the Earth again. Meteorologists Now understands the rainbow is formed when the Sun shines doing the water droplets. Which acts like a prism. 10. Light can be divided in Job38:24 God says " By what way is light diffuse: scientists proves that light is divided. 11. God says in Jeremiah 33:22 that There was innumerable amount of satrs... humans couldnt see the 100 billions stars we know now, but only taught there was thousands and in 17th century Galileo Took a glimpse at the stars through the telescope and discover the BIBLE makes another true statement. Now there are many more. The BIBLE says the earth is round and God stretches the universe and so many more.......thats my God.....good science's proves the BIBLE true. Now its not hard to see.......you ever see a criminal in court with all the evidence against him still trying to get out of it? Thats how i see most atheists.....they are that criminal not wanting to admit there wrong. Theres 100's more. I could talk about. Question BIBLE only teach what is good. :Don't kill, don't lie, don't fornicate (outside a marriage)don't harm, don't hurt, don't steal, Don't use abusive language, Don't get drunk or do drugs, Do on to others as you want others to do on to you (meaning do good, not bad)Work with your hands, be Discipline, don't be, dont be prideful, greedy. dont engaged in homosexuality (humans will go extinct if everybody was a homosexual and its sick and a abomination, God said he created them male and female for a reason, now i understand some of you atheists might be a homosexual) The BIBLE helps many people. Why are they attacking it and hating it? If its just a book with no power it will only get laughs at. Its offensive why? Hebrews 4:12 "The word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any 2 edged sword. Piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intention of the heart and there is no creation hidden from his sight but all things are naked and open to his eyes of him to whom we must give account (i added verse 13) you will answer to GOD one day. Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, (Romans 1:18-22, NASB)The BIBLE is the # 1 sold book in the world for a very long time, everybody knows its the WORD of GOD, theres a reason why only 3% of the USA is atheists becuase a fools says in his heart there is no God. Just remember B.C (befor CHRIST) & A.D (after his death) a timeline is built around the creater.......JESUS CHRIST loves you and if you are willing to turn away from your sins and call on HIS name...HE will come into your life. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, (John 1:12, NASB)

I am not sure the math adds up. A smiths travels around 120 ft per day. It is about 7000 miles from south/central America to the middle East. 7000 miles x 5280 = 36,960,000 feet/ 120 feet per day = 308,000 days or 843.8 years. However.....sloths can travel 3 times faster in water than on land. Closest distance across the Southern Atlantic is 1600 miles which would take a sloth 64 years to swim.....So let's say 715 years for a sloth to get to the middle East. With an average life span of 20-30 years......we are looking at 23.8 generations of sloths to reach the middle East. So really the 2 sloths would have had to left around the time Noah was born. Still fucking ridiculous.

Please ! The. Sun. Does. Not. Move. This is ONLY _one_ of the 8 scriptures that were used to convict Galileo of heresy in 1633 for publishing the science that the Earth revolved around the Sun, in _opposition to_ the bible.
