Earlier this evening we had a line of showers and thunderstorms move through out ahead of a cold frontal passage. Out west across Pennsylvania, the broken line of thunderstorms became severe in many areas, but by the time they reached northern NJ, they were in a weakened state due to us not having as much instability. We still got some ominous-looking clouds move in and some nice thunder and lightning, making this our first true thunderstorm of the spring.
