Hi Marta, thanks so much for sharing your flowers. I live in Tennessee, US. Our weather has been really crazy here as well. My iris has already bloomed, which is about 3 to 4 weeks earlier than normal. My roses are starting to really bloom as well as my peonies. We have had days warming into 80 degrees F. And then drop to 30 degrees F. Whatever is going on with the weather is apparently affecting the climate world wide. I adore your tulips. I look forward to seeing more of your flowers.

I like your garden Marta and you were fortunate not to have a very cold frost. The tulips have done well. I live in Oxford, UK, and it is colder than usual here, but the main issue (typically for the UK) is the rain and damp conditions which is party time for the slugs and snails. They are eating everything, even the plants they should not like.

This is my very first time I see one of your videos and I like how you mention not only the successes. Here in Switzerland, we had snow and our walnut tree definitely suffered a bit. We can see it will only have half the walnuts compared to last year’s harvest. We do not depend on this but our thoughts are with those whose livelihood depends on the crops. The worst hit plant in my garden was one of the phlox bushes. It looks like crumbled salad 😅 But like you said. I leave it alone and I’m sure it’ll recuperate soon 🤞 I’m personally a fan of roses and all of them have big buds. I have bee friendly varieties and I must they, roses have been a true champion in this strange weather. They don’t mind the wet winters, did great during the heatwaves (we don’t water them and rely on their roots to find water) and flowered well into November. Phlox is usually doing well in this chaotic weather, geraniums (slugs hate it), all herbs especially salvia (surviving well in our muddy clay soil) and for the first time I’m trying Lythrum salicaria in my garden. So far it has been left alone by the slugs and I’m hoping it won’t mind a little trying out in the summer heat. But on the very same spot I tried Veronica and their root rotted during the wet autumn/winter. In this climate it is really important to find those insect friendly champions that will master wetness and heat and still be their for bees and butterflies. Unfortunately some of the insects didn’t survive the coldness last week. They are just as confused as the rest of us! Nevertheless Happy gardening! From Switzerland 🇨🇭

Hi I really enjoy your videos. I live in Ohio, United States. Every year we have the same weather where it gets warm everything starts budding, then we will have a cold or snow storm. It really has a havoc on my big leaf hydrangea if I can’t cover them. No flowers for that season. I am blessed to a lot of the newer hydrangeas and other flowers, but I miss having the color from the older big leaf. I hope you don’t have to endure this every spring like we do. You have a beautiful garden. I love seeing it. Thanks for the videos. Happy gardening.

Which is your favorite reblooming tulip year after year?

I also planted my tulips, that I planted and dug out last season. Now as You said - some only have leaves this year 😢 Is it worth to wait for them to bloom next year or are they done?

If the single bulbs had proper spacing, yes! When a bulb divides stoi have those tiny ones close to one another then it’s harder for them to grow properly hence why we dig them out
