It helps him to blame his sociopathic controlling wife's behavior on an astrology sign so he doesn't have to take responsibility for standing up to her bullying behavior. "I'd leave her for the way she treats me and have some self esteem but she's a scorpio so that explains it". Jerry you'll find someone else just like her if you do ever get the stones to leave.
