I played with some AI websites and had it right some stories based on input I gave it. I was just using a freeware version, but could see how this could easily be influenced for a desired result. You could say.....create a story where aliens visit the earth, but humans don't cooperate with each other and panic, resulting in widespread conflict that disgusts the visiting aliens. That is once sentence and could get a similar storyline. You can keep modifying the story to massage it into something you like......such as, add in that the human panic results in nuclear war........add in that the aliens reset the planet.......etc. Just keep making changes until the story told is one that you like. I really don't see the AI that is being touted as AI as Artificial Intelligence. It is more like a complex program capable of interpreting vague input to give a desired result. What has been shown to us so far is more of a garbage in, garbage out program. You can teach it to 'think' as you want. By this, I mean....give the exact same computer system with a new AI on it to Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Then each person trains it by inputting information. At the end, we will have one that is paranoid and thinks that the government is secretly trying to destroy us all and the other will want to drink from a sippy cup, eat chocolate chocolate ice cream and take frequent naps. I would also like to point out that the peaceful aliens wiped out what was left of humanity.......not very peaceful.....lol

This was amazing to watch. As chilling as it may sound, I believe this is how AI sees us; as a civilization on the brink of destroying each other through petty squabbles, pride and ignorance.

Lol. AI doesn't "see" us in any way. It doesn't have opinions, the very notion makes no sense whatsoever. They are only capable of doing what they've been programmed to do. You cannot, by definition, program the ability to form an opinion, because forming an opinion requires sentience, which requires consciousness, which AI will never, ever actually have. We barely understand human consciousness, the idea that we could somehow recreate it in code is just infantile.

@Gary Allen that's quote interesting. I did not know that. And I think it's very likely you are right, it probably was 'stolen'. Also the whole alien attitude is very reminiscent of thanos' "humanity has to die to save the planet" belief, which was something that resonated well with audiences, despite being also a well known scifi trope. It sounds plausible that this is something an AI would pick up upon

Damn. That's a HEAVY film. Really well done. "You are not who you claim to be." Powerful words, coming from an AI that knows more about Humanity than most of us do.

The Voyager Space Probe being one of the last things containing the knowledge of our existance, waiting to be discovered by the future civilization is quite a chilling thought. In many movies, when global disaster stikes, all wars stop and the planet works to overcome hardships. During covid, we proved we couldn't do that. Scary that AI knows and understands this about us.

this is the best short sci fi movie i have ever watched and after interstellar my favorite movie ever. I really wish you would make another one like this using ai that is longer. because this has immense potential. I subbed.

I like this movie because realistically is how we would react to such event! We have become so pessimistic and destructive that we always assumed the worst! We always tend to fear what we don’t understand! And I still think that most human beings are still really primitive and unprepared to be in direct contact with an advance celestial civilization! Funny of you to think that aliens wouldn't be exactly like us in regards to most of our development. Barring very few extenuating circumstances, survival of the fittest is going to occur because it is almost always the path of least resistance. And in that vein Cells taking energy from other cells is almost always going to weight what kinds of life develop on a macro scale. The only time life would develop symbiotic or cooperative schemes is if there were already predators around to force cooperation, which is unlikely, or that resources are incredibly abundant to the point of the world being a paradise for the life that develops there, which is even more unlikely. And in the latter case, those types of species who have grown up without knowing any hardship, have no right to criticize a species that has clawed its way up from oblivion and has reached a modicum of civility and enlightenment. These kinds of stories always leave a bad taste in my mouth because it spouts this holier than thou attitude by a species that likely hasn't known hardship in millennia, if they ever did and it reeks of entitlement and arrogance far worse than the angry murder monkeys that have tried for the last 8k years and possibly more to build up a civilization worthy of remembrance and falling short often, but never giving up despite the odds.

It's a very simplistic script.Childlike and very predictable. It's not meant to contain a message. It's just a demo of the possibillities of AI animated imagery.

Wow, I am shocked on how AMAZING this short film is. I love the way it represents the reality, in which we would most likely destroy ourselves if we were visited by aliens.

This is actually pretty brilliant. It really does show how things can escalate with mistrust and hate...and the ultimate consequence. Well done...well done

This just shows how much we will argue amongst ourselves during a perceived crisis. They couldn’t even understand the aliens had not said one word. So we start a war with just earthlings. We get what we deserve.

The fact that an AI is responsible for most of this is incredible. But it's also terrifying and we've been long overdue for a serious conversation about it. It's inevitable that it will be used to spread propaganda. Imagine if it made news segments. Imagine if all the news you had seen over the past year was all fabricated.

Yes but maybe indirectly it's a message to us from AI? We should probably heed it and learn to co-operate with and co exist in peace with AI.

I also gotta say, if AI was ever meant to save humanity and this situation actually occurs, this beautiful AI masterpiece would be the 1 lesson that kept this reality from becoming our reality

I never thought of that - Countries fighting over first contact.

The fact that a.i. can create something of this quality genuinely makes me giddy with excitement for what is to come in just the next decade alone.

This was incredibly well put together. Despite it being made with AI, the various segments were combined to create a rather meaningful message that will always be relevant for as long as mankind exists. I like how it echoes the message found in the movie *"Contact".*

Much better than anything you could watch nowadays in streaming plattforms. AIs are definetely gonna take away many writers jobs, and I am happy for that.

Since we first asked the question, "Are we alone in the Universe" we have wondered; If 'beings from another world' did decide to pay us a visit, would they come in peace? Well I think that this brilliant short film really hits the nail on the head when it comes to this burning question. It doesn't matter if they would 'come in peace' or not. We'll be too busy fighting about who will make the 'first contact' to even notice if the aliens were landing on the Earth's surface with a shit load of weapons to kill us all or a shit load of freshly baked cupcakes so we can all be the best of buddies with them.

This is a great film with a really good message. As someone else mentioned, it's even better than many films currently in theaters. It would be great to add more subtitles in other languages so that even more people can enjoy it.

I would like to mention that a tool which extracts audio, converts it to text, and translates it is called "Anthiago". On this site, it is possible to obtain subtitles and add them to the video, so that it can be understood by more people.

The most insane thing about this movie is there are actually ufo/uap that look eerily similar to these depictions. I've never seen a ufo video with this double pyramid shape before but I have seen one in real life and while the AI version isn't %100 percent accurate its scary but also awesome this was chosen to represent what their ships look like!

Best AI or not AI short film ever! Would this teach us something? Could we learn from this and avoid a most likely fate? Who knows…

I had a dream about this structure on 1/20/2015. It was so profound and fore a while I kept seeing similar symbols. Ex, Ethereum’s logo, some device called ‘timeular’, and various other artistic interpretations. The fact that not only am I seeing this from other humans but also from ai is surreal.

This is the most IMPRESSIVE movie made about humanity, and more power to the AI who has more common sense and LOGIC than mankind has had for centuries. BRAVO 👏

Hollywood writers and producers just took a huge dump in their pants.

Its not hard to see this message being the last thing our species ever receives from the AI that assisted the creation of this short film.

I cannot believe my eyes! this is insanely well constructed! It is really scary how AI could put together stories that can mess with social network news propagation. Only those with strong abilities in discerning what's real or not could tell the difference. Very Scary.

This is a great and horrifying lesson for humanity. but despite how terrible world tensions are, it's definitely not accurate but that's not the point. Russia taking down US boarding parties right inside the alien ship, and that single attack provoked the US to make a full-on nuclear response and destroy the world? Every country on Earth wants to avoid a nuclear war, despite how terrible world tensions are and how greedy politicians are, no one wants nuclear Armageddon. Going to full-on WW3 when the aliens arrive and nuclear Armageddon is too farfetched. But Russia blaming the US for the alien's arrival does seem realistic tho. But the concept of the alien ships just sitting there while humanity destroys itself is so damn terrifying and its better than most hollywood movies out there

Most aliens do speak with a British accent, I've found with my extensive experience with them. Some aliens sound like Australians, and a few from Alpha Centauri have an almost Texan twang to their speech, like someone in a cowboy movie. But most aliens like the British sound. Go figure!

It gave me shivers down my spine, an absolute masterpiece you guys made

The aliens could not ignore the PEOPLE of the planet not just our governments. I am sure a higher intelligence would know their decisions are not always our decisions. This is an amazing movie.

Here is a piece with a head, torso and limbs. It could be an alien version of "MIB" but they would be called "Men In White" if they are peaceful and "Men In Red" if they are carnivorous. :)

It is very sad that if we ever met aliens that are more advanced than us, this would very possibly be the way it would go. Because of the greed and selfishness of a few politicians, the whole Humankind would suffer. Very well made.

AI shows the truth of human being. And the reference of voyager satellite was spot on.

Literally brought a tear to my eye. This is a deeply moving short film, the AI did an incredible job. 👏🏻
